Morning all, Sarah my chemo increases mine by 7.4% I only know that as I asked. If you are lower than 4 I think they leave the descisions with you. They look at your survival rate vs the side effects. With Her2+ you have to have chemo or you can’t have the drug as the effects are not as good. Hope this makes sense xxxx

How long did it take people to feel better after their ops, for example doing exercises etc? x
Hi Barry, I am having good days and bad days still. Hurt alot last night so took stronger painkillers. The difference between Nikki and I is I had a Mx and 4 weeks later had ANC that was 3 weeks ago. I have been told it will take a while to heal properly xxx hope this helps xxx
Yeah that’s a double whammy for you Ange. She’s still in a bit of pain and discomfort. Exercises still not easy at all x

How comes you have a meeting with your onc Sarah? Do you meet with them regularly during treatment?
Yes with FECT it’s 3 weekly cycle so you have your chemo then the following week you have your picc line redressed ( which happens every week) then the week after you see your onc and have bloods done before you have chemo again the following week
That’s a lot of appointments. Hopefully your work are being good with you x
I was made redundant just before my diagnosis.
At least you can concentrate on this I guess.
Appointment has been confirmed for next Wednesday to tell us the results of the op. Fingers crossed.

great news for you and Nikki, not long now. I have another appointment with my onc in 2 weeks before I start then I will have follow ups , think she said it depends on how my body handles the treatment. I am going to start a chemo box like Sarah xx
Hopefully the treatment will start asap, I’ve been reading inspirational survivor stories who’ve had lymph node involvement and treatment has come a long way too.
Oh great you have a date Barry though an anxious time too… Will have everything crossed its a good prognosis x x
Thanks ladies. The doc said because of her age she’ll have chemotherapy, so not sure what else we want to know other than the start date x
Don’t understand the age bit Barry. Does it mean because I’m 55 chemo isn’t an option? I thought chemo depended on whether it was in lymph nodes what ever your age? Read on here that it can travel in blood even if not showing in nodes…that’s a worry! X
That’s what doc told us a few times. I guess as she’s young it’s best to give her chemo. It’s scary no matter what. But that’s what all the treatment and healthy lifestyle is for x
I was told I would need it if I was HER2+, plus node involvement, grade 3, 2.6cm so all those figured in me having chemo. They did say they would throw everything at me as I was young but I guess they would do that for everybody xxx
