Yes same for me ange …just curious the thinking behind it all. Barry nik will be in peak health with you behind her…hopefully she will sail through the chemo x
Me, family and friends will help her through it. Just like most people will have someone to help and care for them xx
I’m also not so absorbed with GBBO…I usually play on the iPad or read the forum while half watching it! Well everyone’s treatments are moving on, lots to learn isn’t there? And so many variations in the various approaches, everyone is unique and so is ther BC I suppose.
Yes Jill going ahead as brothers, sister and rest of family wanted me to, and my Mum has only just been released by the coroner today, and with waiting to get a cremation, I think it will be the week after next, so plenty time to recover I think.
So today I was ‘prepped’…isotopes injected, then photographed with Gamma Camera and marked under the arm (the sentinel node, I presume) all took quite a long time and I had to keep still in some not especially comfortable positions while the camera did its job, first picture took about ten minutes I think! Then back in the afternoon for the ‘wiring’…it was tricky as aparantly I have dense breasts and the first wire didn’t hit the mark and was removed but the second one was successful, they then checked the position was right with a couple of mammograms. I will be glad to get it out, get results and move on to the next phase.
Thinking you all and what we are going through, so glad to have this support!
Amanda x
Er…only joking. Inspiring is everyone who has gone through this c r a p which are thousands and thousands. I know a woman who had it 40 years ago. Huge golf sized growth. Double mastectomy chemo the lot and is living it large. If she can do it when medicine was in the dark ages we can! X
Madange I’m exact same as you. Same size grade hercp + so yes having all they can give me too x
Amanda that wire was horrid especially when they then want to mammogram you! Blood everywhere! I couldn’t believe it. But my biggest shock was on call back having lumpectomy. Was in total shock, there was no mention of it on recall letter. Hope all goes well. You have more than your share to deal with bless you x x
Good luck Amanda we will all be thinking of you xxxxxxx
