Just diagnosed and wanting to talk to people who understand

Thanks Shazza xx

I’m sure spongebob is right It might be worth ange and shazza to see if you are entitled to help. I think Macmillan has a citizen advice helpline especially for cancer patients xxx

Cheltenham is lovely spongebob  it’s about an hour away from me. There is a pub in Stroud I can’t remember what it’s called but I had to manage it for a weekend it was in the middle of nowhere just cows everywhere and I was told it was prince charles local. If your daughter ever visits Bristol and wants any advice to best places to go  xxxx

Cheltenham is lovely not that far from me in the other direction - I live near Oxford. Xx

Evening lovely ladies (and Barry!)
Think we must all be having a bit of an off day because I’m feeling like that too. Having quite a lot of pain with the boob and now have a large hard lump under it. Probably a haematoma but I didn’t have this problem before. I suppose operating on the same area three times is bound to cause some issues. I was quite taken aback at how misshapen it is now and for the first time I don’t really want to look at it. Never thought I’d say it but I might be better off without it. Might have the decision made for me on Thursday mind you. I feel pathetic going on about it when lots of you are going through much worse than me and coping with toddlers, teenagers and not so useful partners. My husband of 40 years has been very supportive over the last 8 months but has to be nagged at to do any housework, which does annoy me. I end up doing it and then feel whacked. Then he moans at me for overdoing it! Rant over?

It’s all relative fuffs so dint feel guilty about having a bad day x

I don’t think any of us are majorly impressed by what taking a large chunk out of your boob does to the aesthetic effect Francine and you have had 3 shark attacks!!Keeping everything crossed for you that you can move forward after Thursday and get this thing beaten .Have a **bleep** swear if it helps!!!Oh and have some proper cheddars not mini ones they will do you good.

Do you know Oakley Mr Oxford shazza ? My best friend lives there x

We all should sing “Have a nice day” by Stereophonics.

Nikki’s mum works at Addenbrookes. I love Cambridge, pretty scenic x

Even though I have had a mx mine looks horrible no nice flat scar like the pictures, I have lumps a bludges every where looks horrible xx

It’s early days for healing Ange, my scars have settled down a lot in last few weeks ,gone a lot flatter ,at first looked like surgeon had done it with a knife and fork and stitched it together with a darning needle.

Yes ive heard of it I think it’s east of Oxford I live in the west xx

Are you going to have reconstruction ange. Good luck on Thursday francine. Hope you feel better really soon xxxxx

It’s amazing, in all the wrong ways; I’ve been having a pretty bad day today as well! I have felt really tired and still am plagued by my ear infection, it’s giving me as much pain as the boob/arm pity at the moment! Been on a bit of a downer and tearful as well.

I really don’t have anything to be complaining about, I just wish like we all do that none of this was happening and my life was plodding on as before. Instead we are being made to feel (and maybe look) worse in order to get better when most of us didn’t even feel ill!

Ladies and Barry’s; hat is the advice re. sleeping on the side of the WLE ‘nodectomy’? Really wanted to last night but I didn’t think I should!

Amanda x

Do you know the pub I’m talking about I can’t remember the name of it xxxx

Amanda ,I slept on that side as soon as it was comfortable to do so, but to be honest that was a while and I couldn’t get comfortable lying on my back .Not surprised you are feeling tearful you have had a hell of a week.

Where did you live in Oxford SpongeBob? I live in Witney x

It’s strange how we are all having a bad day together  May tomorrow be better xxxxx

Oh yes I am hoping to have a diep flap but need to loose weight first. I was considering not having recon but the way it’s looking it think I need to go through with it as hate the way it looks now xxx

Morecambe is a very exciting place, we have the Eric Morecambe statue and …mmm… .the Eric Morecambe statue.???Luckily I live in Lancaster which is much more exciting…
