Have signed that too and posted on my fb wall. Outrageous!, what annoys me is *WE often pay for all the research leading to new drugs by fundraising, donating etc and they then have the nerve to sell the findings to drug companies who sell it back to nhs at hugely inflated prices… are we mugs or what! Pure greed. Good luck tomorrow Amanda…we will never leave anyone here behind x x x
A holiday will be just the ticket Barry x
Lovely…just at hospital waiting to see onc after treatment finished in August. Not sure what to expect x
All’s well. Six month see my surgeon then another six to see my onc again. Mammogram yearly… told to try my bone building drug so better give it a go and add another pill to my daily regime. Never took an anadin u less I was desperate. How quickly things can change. X
No Barrie it’s nothing like that it’s just about different healthy foods to eat and nutritional information. Recent studies. But all in all very inspiring and not one bit upsetting. I have found it so informative x
Sounds like it went ok Lorna. Some people recommend an aspirin a day anyway.
Lisa I’ll take a look x
Yes I’ve seen that too. Used to take 75ml every day but I have stomach probs so stopped. May take it again.x
75mg a day is what is being suggested as a dose to help stop reoccurrence research looms very good so far, you can get aspirin with coating to help reduce risk of stomach issues, guess you need to look into potential problems with any other existing health problems or meds.
Another question to ask lol.
My copy of the Rainbow diet arrived today, looks interesting
Yes Jill they sell it at asda. That’s the recommended dose. Going to take it again. X
Anyone else had email from this site to go to meeting in London to help with improvements to it. All travel paid etc x
Nope. Nikki and I have monthly travelcards lol
Mine too Barry! He appears very respected. Funnily enough Jamie Oliver has recently said same as we will eventually see food as medicine and when we do so many diseases will be eradicated. X
Keeping to all of it is difficult but taking some of it in wouldn’t be bad
Exactly… moderation. Knowledge is power though x
Basically reduced refined sugar and dairy plus a mixture of coloured veg plus exercises is the key x
I have a lot of respect for Jamie Oliver but not for any of the other TV chefs. He’s trying so hard to get people aware of what they eat and to cut down on processed food. He saw off the horrible Turkey Twizzlers in schools, thank God. Feeling fed up today I have to say. No sign of any appointment re the rads so it’s back to more waiting. At this rate I’ll still be having treatment at Xmas! You’re not the only one not moving on Amanda. Husband had a flu jab a few days ago and now has man flu (sorry Barry!) thinks he’s dying and is lying around like a wet fish! Feel like killing someone, so the only thing to do is eat Victoria Sponge and drink tea ??
A nice bit of cake is good for the soul!!Hate to say this Francine but they won’t start rads til you are well healed from op.I was 9 weeks post op when I started and average is 6 to 8 weeks.Very frustrating but seeing how my skin had reacted to the radiation I can see why they don’t want to start any earlier than that.
It’s OK, we all know man flu is the deadliest of flu’s!
My husband currently agrees with you Barry re the severity of manflu.
I’m having my jab tomorrow so hopefully I’ll avoid it. :smileyvery-happy:
