Got a good report from hospital a few weeks back - no further treatment at present and to see them in 3 months. YES!!! Next news, got a letter from local hospital asking me to go to Dr Dev’s chest clinic for scan. Who’s Dr Dev when he’s at home?? Nothing wrong with my chest! Phoned up about it and they said appointment was made in error. I said how could that be, that someone just plucked my name and hospital number out of thin air and decided I needed a scan?? Very sorry was the reply. Appointment made in error.
Hi all … hope you are all well …the 11th is gonna be a good one .it will be good to see you all .I am having my eye tumours removed on 21 st aug .sure that will be a barrel of laffs and can tell that you are all jealous of me !! lol …Local Anaesthetic …more scared of this than Mastectomy !!what a wuss I am …so hopefully come october I will be ble to see you all without your little fuzzy outlines !!!
Got an appt for my nipple prothesis too…but dont think I am gonna bother .is there anyone out there who has had recon and then the nipple done later ???

So good to see this post coming to the surface, i havent posted for a while on the Liverpool meet up.
Too be honest today i have just felt so SAD that cancer is so cruel and takes so many lives and some of those have been my precious family and friends. No doubt in the future more will be taken maybe even my own. No i am not being bloomin depressing and morbid but REAL.
I am thinking of writing to the echo and askin if they would be interested in doing an article and taking some pics of our local meet up in Oct. I won a competition in the echo in 2006 writing about my cancer journey.
Can’t wait to see you all on the 11th Oct

So sorry you are feeling so low, is it stages we go through I wander, I have felt really good this week and positive,then I bumped into a friend in clinic .I had just been told how pleased they are with me and come back in 3 months, and she has just found out that hers has returned in same breast after 14 years, how bloody cruel is that ,put me on a downer for a few days.
Bring it on for Oct 11th.I missed last one but will be there for this one

Soz Liver that you are feeling so low …i think that it is part of this bloody journey an emotional roller coaster …one day up next down …i have been pretty upbeat the last few days but I know it wont last …but it will pass and the whole thing starts again !! Loking forward to seeing loads of us in October and having a blast .

Alli just read on DLA thread that you had to appeal did you apply under special rules? you don’t have to fill much in just need a form of doc to go with it (you prob know all this but just incase you didn’t).
Thanks for wondering how I am, I’m fine haven’t had chance to meet with Nicky yet but I’m at hosp for 2 appts on wed so hope to meet in between them.

Thanks for your concern.I made the really stupid mistake of filling in the form myself (trying to be too independent!) instead of getting help with it! Yes,I ticked the special rules box but they still turned me down.I have appealed and am waiting to hear back from them.Going to ring them on Monday to chase it up.Even though I’ve got secondaries I’m obviously JUST NOT SICK ENOUGH FOR THEM!!!
Anyway,I hope you’re ok and had a nice holiday.It will be good to see you on 11th Oct.

Hi all hope you are all ok ? Had a crap week one of my closest friends passed away on Weds she was only 40 in may ,(it wasnt to BC ) very sad saw her husband last nite he looks like a rabbit in headlights I ma trying to sort out a reading for the funeral at the minute looking for some inspiration
Any way no more sadness … hope u are all doin fine ?? and living it to the max !!
Will chat after my eyes op … 4 more sleeps … oh dear .

Great to hear all your newsy comments and mostly sounding good. Maz, it wasn’t pleasant, but the staff were soooo kind and considerate. Afterwards I asked why I hadn’t had a general and they said generals should be avoided if at all poss and it was in my best interests ha! It wasn’t as bad as childbirth put it that way!
Liz, great to hear from you again. If you ever want to meet up when I visit my reli in Crosby, let me have your number or email and we can maybe meet for a coffee. I was there 2 wks ago and was thinking about you then.
May I join you this time? I was unable to make the last meeting. Liver Bird whispered me a few days ago (sorry only just seen message). Am very glad as I had forgotten there was an October meet.

have you decided exactly where to meet?
The reason for my asking these questions is that I MIGHT be going to Manchester (or possibly Liverpool)that weekend and I wonder if I would intrude if I ask you if I please could join your meeting. If you all know each other, I would not dream of showing up, but if you are all more or less strangers in RL, may be there is room for one more?
