Hi Girls
All went well, got home a 5 from 8.00 this morning, just had a bit of a doze on settee and wont be long before i am falling into my bed, totally knackered. IV took a hour and half, then went for the rads then back to ward so they could keep check on me. Only side effect I have had is flu like chills which are normal, they give you paracetamol throughout treatment so never thought I would say it but was quite glad to have a hot flush to warm me up!!! lol,

Fiona: Great that the therapy is going good for you, as I said before it really helped mex
Lindiloo: Hope your skin improves soon, had the boosters, got to lie on a nice mattress and even got a pillow on this one, better than the hard table before, I like my comfort!!!.x

Jill im so glad to hear all went well with your first Herceptin ,it must have been a long day for you ,how did rads go today, was the traveling times any better? , you must be realy knackered but hey only one more left now isnt it ? Yipeeeee bet your so pleased.
Wow it must be much better to have a nice mattress and a pillow to lie on for your boosters, i was still stuck with the blooming hard table and had to lie on my side ,as my tumour was quite high up ,it was not very comfortable as had head in a mould ,pads between knees and arms up above shoulders oh the joys eh , still the boosters didnt last long so was ok.
Fiona, hope your ok, have you been at work today? hope you managed to put your feet up for a bit last night, do you have any plans for the weekend ,not sure what im gonna do yet, depends on the weather. It was realy warm here yesterday just like a summers day,so If its nice i might take myself off down the seafront with my dog Bailey, and sit and watch the rest of the world go by lol.

Today I went for a lovely lunch and a few drinks with some friends - so am not long home. The weather here has been absolutely bizarre - talk about 4 seasons in 1 day - it has ranged between hail stones, rain, beautiful sunshine with blue skies - to blizzards of snow!!! Home and cosey in me jim jams now tho - what more could a woman want.
Might to a bit more decorating tomorrow - have a long lie hopefully tho.

Hope you are both having a good weekend, and it is not too cold where you are, the weather here has been dismal all weekend and like you say Fiona a real mixed bag. Snowed quite here around 11pm but all gone now.
I must admit it has not really bothered me as I have not done much at all this weekend I am ashamed to say! Been really tired for some reason, and I have gone very sore now and seem to getting blisters, first night last night that it kept me awake, but it seems to go worse before it goes better I believe. LAST ONE tomorrow YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! cant wait and if they tell me I have to have any more like last week you will hear me scream where you are!!! lol I am defo all done tomorrow, so looking forward to getting my days back. OH did bond quite well with the Dyson throughout but reckon after tomorrow their relationship will come to a abrupt end, arh sad!!!
Hope Decorating went well Fiona, and your skin is improving Lindiloo.

Jill, Horray, last rads tomorrow, bet your sooooooooo pleased , sorry to hear your a bit sore though,they gave me 4 tubes of Hydrogel and it realy helped, my skin seems a lot better today the soreness has gone and is not nearly so red its still peeling but it is definately getting better,
It was snowing here too this morning , but not enough to lay its realy cold but the sun is shineing now.
Fiona, hope your ok, i expect your doing some decorating today, hows is it going? have you got much left to do. Glad to hear you had a nice lunch with some friends its always good to catch up . Im home alone again ahhhhhh hubbys doing a 12hr shift bless him so apart from cleaning, cooking the sunday roast and haveing a nice lie in this morning havent been up to much.

JIll - three cheers for your last one tomorrow. Your skin will continue to cook for up to 2 weeks after you finish rads - but stick in there it will get better.
Lindiloo - did you get all your cleaning and cooking done? Hope you managed to relax a bit too.
I started painting at 10 today - and apart from a quick trip to asda in between - and a quick lunch - didnt sit down till about 6. Had to give lounge another coat after all but thats it done now. Also gave the stairs and hall walls their first coat. Prob no more painting till Friday now tho. Working for the next 3 days - so will be doing nothing but working and sleeping.

IM DONE!!! YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Great feeling, Hope you girls have had a good day too. The girls I have been going with bought me a little pressie which I thought was lovely, they had me all emotional, we are going to meet up the five of us in the future for a rads reunion!!!
I have just put a bottle of wine in the fridge and will have a drink to celebrate later.
Fiona: Your decorating sounds like it is coming along fine, bet it looks great.

Well girls, thats all three of us cooked to perfection, seems no time ago that we were all comparing notes at the start, it has been such a help to have you both to help during the rads, so thank you to both of you.
Came away today armed with dressings, antibiotic cream etc courtesy of the BCN, so got plenty of supplies should I need them.
I remember my last day - I was so hyper and as I said - was a much better feeling than finishing chemo for me - even tho it was the easier treatment.
You wont know what to do with yourself tomorrow.

Work was quiet today but I was looking after a gorgeous little 8 week old girl, but she was 6 weeks early so really only 2 weeks - I LOVE MY JOB!! Managed to sneak a cuddle too.
Shame the 3 of us were not closer and we could have met up for a celebratory drink.

Well hubby had a day off today so we went into town ,went round the shops and sat on the pier with a pasty and a pint (well the pint was for him lol) the weather was lovely and sunny so we had nice afternoon . Footballs on now so wont see him for the rest of the night lol Thank goodness for computers eh

Bloody football - I am not a fan of it at all. Not long home from work. My poor wee baby was not good today and has ended up on life support in intensive care - she will (should) make a full recovery but my heart just goes out to the parents having been in the same situation with Suzie 2 years ago - an awful thing for any parent to go thro.
Glad you had sunshine down there today - it has peeed down rain here today on and off - on more than off I think tho.
How are you Jill - hope you being quiet does not mean you have had a rip roaring hangover today - lol.
Off to relax for a while - last day of 3 tomorrow. Its going fine

No hangover, but lovely to have the day to myself… Was full of good intentions when I got up, but just wanted to be outside in the fresh air, went for a long walk with OH then came back and fell asleep!!! Disgraceful! going for the food shop tomorrow then to my friends for lunch, hope I dont nod off!!!lolx
Fiona: Hope the baby improves, it must as you say be heartbreaking for the parents as there is just nothing they can do but wait, will say a wee prayer for her. Glad you are ok. I am quite lucky as my OH has little interest in football so I escape the boredom of having to watch it on the telly.x
Lindiloo: Sounds like you had a lovely day, a pasty and a pint, sounds good to me. I am really happy that I have finished the rads, its is a great feeling . I am still gaining alot of weight but it seems to be fluid, especially in my legs, asked BCN and she said it can be a side effect of the Tamoxifen and to ask GP for a strong diuretic to try to shift it, have you had any problem like that?x

Awh Fiona, im so sorry to hear the little baby girl you were looking after at work was put on life support and is in intensive care, bless her i hope she is ok and makes a full recovery soon, it must be heartbreaking for her parents and for you also looking after her,

Jill, hope your enjoying your free days now though i know you still have to have your Herceptin , is it every 3 weeks that you have to have it?. also hope your skin hasnt got any worse , mine is a lot better the redness has nearly gone now just still peeling a bit but definately healing now.I havent got any fluid retension yet with the Tamoxifen but still putting on weight think im gonna have to cut out the chocolate cos ive always been a chocoholic but before BC i could eat what i wanted and never gained weight but not now it seems urghhhhh.

Lindiloo: Yes the herceptin is every three weeks next one is 24th, have not had any bad side effects from it just a bit fluey now and then. Glad your skin is healing mine is still red but has not peeled. Loving my free days, had nice day today with my friend does you good to have a girly chat. and a good old gossip.x
Fiona: How is the baby? Really hope she has improved. Been thinking of her. Are you off work from today? It must be upsetting for you when the little ones are so ill and you must get close to them. Has your back improved? Meant to ask if you were still managing the gym, I have been for another long walk after tea, so hopefully will shift a few pounds.x
I am offfor a early night now as for some reason I am really tired tonight, had a long soak so think that has finished me off, plus two glasses of wine!!

Was working yesterday but thats me off till Monday now. I phoned about that baby yesterday and she is doing well - improving slowly so that sounds good.
I have not been to the gym since last Sat - just have not had the energy - still feel the same today but I have to go put car in garage so am going to give gym a go after that. Have another counselling session this afternoon so that is always draining. Have not done any more decorating but hopefully get stairs and hall finished tomorrow. I am going to by some red gloss as I have pictures go up the stairs so I just fancy painting the frames red - will go so well with lounge, suite etc.

Lindiloo: What have you been up to? My skin seems to have calmed down a touch today so hopefully it is improving. I really want to get a decent bra on, the sports bras have no support and when you are already heading a bit south they make you look worse. I have always wore underwired but too painful at moment. I am going to doctor next week to see if I can get a tablet for the water retention, the walking is actually helping a bit but my legs are very swollen so hopefully he can give me something to deflate a bit!!! x
Not doing a great deal tonight, watching a bit of telly, glass of wine, bath and bed/ BLISS!!!
Tamox sounds like a nightmare with fluid retention and all!! Do you have a big branch gym where you live or what kind of gym are you going to join? Glad your skin is getting a bit better. I am back to using bio oil now.
Havent done any more decorating - will prob do some tomorrow. Altho saying that - the picture that go up my stairs, I bought some red gloss p aint so I have sat and done that this afternoon - not hard work - just bad for the back etc. They will need another coat tho.
Car was into garage today - will pick it up tomorrow - my bank account will be £350 lighter - oucha!!!
I went to gym today - hopefully go again tomorrow. Dont have much energy myself but determined to keep going.

Well thats my decorating nearly finished for the time being - I have had enough. Managed to finish the stairs and hall today - the only thing left to do is the doors upstairs - which is not exactly hard work so will do that on Sunday. Bedroom and kitchen still need done but I have decided to have a break cos I am scunnered (fed up with it in case you 2 need a translation!?). I have got my newly painted picture frames back up on wall and have tidied stuff away into shed again. I feel like I have been living in a bombsite the last couple of weeks so have cleaned kitchen and bathroom and will get the rest done tomorrow. Cant wait for my sofa to come now.
I managed the gym this morning - hard but good - felt better for it.
Its been peeing down rain on and off here so not that nice.
Might go to cinema with Suzie tomorrow after her drama group and we go to see my dad, then she goes to her dads so will have a nice relaxing Saturday night - with no decorating - yipeeeee

Fi, so glad to hear that the little baby girl is improveing , it must be such a worry for her parents, like you ive been realy tired the last few days and dont know why but been a bit down too, i reckon its mabe after treatment finishes we have a bit of a meltdown , time to reflect eh, i also seem to get lots of aches and pains but mabe just noticeing them more now (or the Tomoxifen), i doubt if i would have worried about them much pre BC. Glad you managed to get to the gym, and sorry your bank account is takeing a battering with your car.The weather here has been a bit weird here sunshine one minute heavy downpours the next, cant wait for the summer to come so can be rid of coats and boots.
Jill, glad your skin is starting to improve, how alfull for you with the fluid retension , bloody medications eh, hope your GP can give you something to relieve it.I know what you mean about the bras , i usealy wear underwired bras too and have finaly managed to get back into them , a girl needs a bit of an uplift lol. Its good that you have been going out for long walks and you have decided to take the plunge and join a gym, i realy need to do the same, so must get motivated asap . Have you got any plans for the weekend? dont they come around quick.

I am just popping in to say hello tonight as I have come down with a stinking cold and temp so have been on sofa most of the day and gonna get tucked up in bed now, no energy at all.
