Day three 1st tax all ok so far was dancing around the room at twelve last night with Oscar dog forgot to take steroids until five !!! Took half a sleeping tablet so had some sleep.
Today made a lovely roast dinner although taste buds are going and joints are starting to ache a little now but on the whole feeling better so far than I did on FEC third day so fingers crossed hey !
So happy to see 2014 gone and here’s to a far better 2015 to us all big hugs Diane x x
Hi, I think I may have peeked, and still so much to do before tomorrow. This afternoon I’ve packed Christmas away prepared cooked and frozen 8 meals. Have also done the accompanying washing up and put the bins out.
Yesterday I did 2 loads of washing and a supermarket sweep. Still got 2 beds to strip and remake lounge and bathroom to clean, as well as sorting out my chemo bag. I was supposed to be having an early night as need to leave house by 9.30 tomorrow morning. Might just give up now, as I’m sure this is not what the nurse ment when she told me to take it easy.
Hopalong that sounds just too much. Pop round here if you’ve got any to spare! I’ve spent the day in bed or on the sofa. Sofa meant I had to socialise with fsmily so back to bed! Mrs grumpy today x
My onc assured me tonight that t will be better than FEC - he’s obviously not read the October thread!!!

Oh good luck sue. I’ve got my steroids ready for next time (23rd), nurse told me to take them first thing and lunchtime to try to avoid sleep disturbance.
I’m a terrible sleeper and even worse now with night sweats. Lorazepam and Nozinan helped me slept the first 4 nights after chemo but nausea subsiding so have to stop now. Nozinan made me really dizzy too so onc said to stop.

Mum said when she was on chemo there were days when she couldn’t get out of bed. I know what she means today.
Hi, new to this. Ive been trying to go it alone but am worried about the T that i start on monday. Ivekind of got through fec unscathed. This 3rd one is where i had to say no more to work cos so tired & got cold sore virus inside lips ( not such a good luck) had food pureed like a baby. Is it true we have to have injections as well? If so how many.
Welcome Rookie to the party no one wants to be invited to. I’m not changing regime but everyone else is. I applaud you for managing to work. I haven’t been to work since September and must admit I am getting fed up of being at home. I need some stimulous but frankly don’t have the energy.
Thanks for the welcome. Ive never been sick with fec. In fact ive sailed through them. Im just dreading injections. Well onwards & upwards as they say. I’ll grit my teeth, close my eyes & jump lol.
I havebt had any injections except after the first FEC. I change to taxol in two weeks and onc says I’ll only have steroids as won’t need anything else. What do you know about taxol and hair loss? My inc said I so f need to cold cap any more but I don’t believe him! I’ve got 12 weekly sessions so based on FEC I won’t know the effects on the heir until I’ve had 3 doses then it’ll be too late to change my mind about the cap.

Glad the tax hasn’t been so bad as I too have been hideously sick with the FEC. Strangely after having all my hair cut off as it was falling out at such a rate I still have fuzzy spikes that have refused to go. Worried that the FEC hasn’t worked but MRI next Monday will tell whether the ca has shrunk. It’s definately stll there!!!
Have you painted your nails a dark colour? It’s supposed to help.

Wow, not heard that one. Crikey its enough to scare the pants off you. Sometimes i wonder if its worth asking around or knowing nothing & just going with the flow!! I havent seen my onc since october & he never said anything. Just gave me a sheet of paper listing side effects. Do you think i should do my nails now or wait till after session on monday? Decisions decisions lol

My breast cancer nurse said it really helps that’s all I’ve got to go on. I see my oncologist every 3weeks.
Hmmm, maybe i should ask the nurses tomorrow as to why my onc doesnt keep in touch!!! I havent seen any one high up since before starting the 1st session. I feel let down. The nurses are brilliant tho, i cant fault them.
My regime is, before 2nd, then before 5th to see oncologist rest is nurse led.
I’ve been told about the nail varnish, even if it is an urban myth might make you feel nice. I’ve got really dry hands and feet. To be honest generally dry skin, good job I’m not going to work the time it takes me to moisturise !!!. Good luck tomorrow.
