Found a haircut for today - completely new hairdresser - he is going to think I am a bit nuts I think when I freak out as the first hair falls ahhhh
I have my blood test tomorrow ahead of chemo 2 on Thursday. Hopefully they’ll be ok so can conitue as planned. How far are you away from your next dose Shi? I wonder if they’ll change your chemo or drugs after in order to ensure you stay out of The Grand NHS Hotel next time.

No Sue I pop to GP the say before and they send them off. They can do them on the day but can’t guarantee how long it would take to come back. My GP is 5 mins wall away from home so I do it that way to save waiting at the hospital.
The least time spent in hospital the better!
My gp is 15 minute by car and to be quite honest not very organised where as hospital can run a little late and takes me slightly longer to get there but at least I know they know what they are doing x
Hi all, have been following all your updates and joining in the highs and lows from.my bed… day 1 was a breeze but since then I’ve been struggling with intense nausea . Day 2-the district nurse came out with new meds and since then I’ve just been sleeping and trying to nibble. Day 4 now and hoping things will improve, just went for a drive with my son but felt sick again. It’s like early pregnancy ! I also have bright red cheeks and an inability to remember names … what fun when I thought my hubby was called Edna… but at least I’m at home in my own bed! Love , sparkles and hugs to all we can do this ladies! 
Mine isn’t too bad. Plus i booked so early I got the first appointment of the day so don’t need to sit around with sick people for ages.
Hair is really starting to look sorry for itself. I have a receding hairline and developing a penalty spot. You literally just touch it and it falls out.
Hi Jellytot. The nausea is bad. Keep on top of it, they gave me loads of extra anti sickness meds and today’s my day 5 and I’m down to just 1 Domperidone so far. I also use seasick bands on my wrists, who knows if they work but I’ll try anything!!!
I’m going to have to drive 20 miles to give my bloods which is a bit cack. Not sure why I can’t do it locally. Might have to double check on that.

I had a 5 day sickness prevention tablet that I take an hour before chemo called akynzeo and champagne ones as top up if necessary

Jellytot sorry that you have had a rough couple of days. I think it mimics pregnancy too - nausea, craving, car sick etc etc. Hope you start to ferl better. Ginger biscuits and milk helped me when i felt nauseous. You dont feel like eating but nibbling does help.
I gave in and got my hairdresser to whizz my hair to a number 4. My hair has literally been dropping out everywhere so i thought if i leave it it will be on our plates tonight!! Anyway, i quite like it andmy kids actually like it better than the dropping strands!
Had my bloods done this morning in prep for chemo 2 tomorrow and drinking my 2 litres of water too. Shi can they not give you something to boost your white cells? I really hope you get home soon.

I’m the same with hair. I only have a pixie cut but it’s getting on my nerves dropping everywhere and making my neck itch. So much has fallen off I can’t understand why there’s still some on my head!

Oh forgot to say went out lunchtime for celebratory lunch after promotion last week and ended up having baked Camembert and chips, came with a salad (which I thought better not have in case hadn’t been washed properly). Just as was finishing baked Camembert thought “**bleep** Camembert is soft cheese, probably shouldn’t have eaten that either”! ?I’m praying that because it was baked it’ll be ok!
Meesh my eyes just did a ?when I saw baked Camembert but I am sure it will be ok just the once, I downed a good spoonful of That unpasteurised manuka yesterday and I’ve no immune system but yours is ok, don’t worry but it was a thing that make you ?moment when I read it, did it taste nice? Tasted lovely, just didn’t bloody think! Annoying thing was after I recovered from a mild panic, one of the girls I was with said “I thought that when you said that’s what you were having”! ?Well why didn’t she say something then! I’m going blame it on chemo brain. I am finding that people tell me something (mainly work related) then straight after they’ve told me I can’t remember what it was! ?
