I’m glad that it’s not just me that keeps forgetting stuff, I read these posts and forget who said what, and people that I see everyday I keep forgetting what they are called!!
Shi…sorry my dance for you is a bit late but here goes ? ??????Really hoping you get home soon hunny xx
Its obviously the day for hair loss, tried the dry shampoo and it’s done the trick so far but it’s not looking like it’s gonna hang about for long!! Trying to debate whether I should have it shaved at my Big Pink day on Friday or not ???
Meesh, I had a baked Camembert on Sunday, doesn’t the baking of it help? Rather than having it cold?
Jellytot, I hope you feel brighter soon. You’re doing better than I did after my first chemo, I didn’t leave the house for 5 days! But do keep a note and tell your oncologist as they will probably tweak your drugs for next time. I actually went out for a short walk today on day 2 this time!! ??
Ali, how’s the number 4 working for you? I’m tempted to do a longer setting before ramping it up.
Well I hope baking it makes it ok. I would think it does as most live cultures are killed off with heat. Don’t think I’ll make a habit of it though. ?
SueW just looked up your honey link and it says on the front of the jar that it’s raw (so unpasteurised) but I think you’ll find that most of the expensive ones are unpasteurised, it’s only the cheap supermarket ones that aren’t. I think the honey would be fine to eat anyway, seems to me like there are loads of people going through chemo eating it without problems. I’m not sure how much the NHS really know about dietary stuff anyway, they didn’t seem really interested when I asked before I started chemo ?
Sue check that honey out before you eat for pasteurised with it saying straight to the jar, it might not be pasteurised, think they just spin it straight out of the hives from the honeycomb framed straight to jar if it’s saying that, if it says pasteurised should be ok?shi xx
Orange juice is fine but grapefruit isn’t because it interferes with the breakdown of certain chemo and other drugs especially heart medication in the liver
Don’t feel guilty about the baked cheese, I am sitting in a pub drinking red wine whilst my hubby has a melt down about his parents life the universe and everything!
Enjoy the ? chaffinch, think it’s usual for hubbies and partners to have a bit of a melt down, they can’t fix us can they and because it’s out of their hands they feel helpless but put on a strong supporting arm for us all the time on this journey no matter what, just every now and again they have a wobble too, just like we all do Shi xx
Grapefruit is the one to avoid, macmillan do a fab booklet ladies read cancer treatment and diet you should be able to pick one up from your local centre it’s full of tips recommended food & drinks
Re the manuka take it on a spoon daily helps throat and mouth and good for immune system apparently I use it and on round 5 out of six mouth and throat have been fine apart from taste don’t put it in hot milk though like I did for a few weeks the heat kills its properties keep your regular honey for that!!!
Hope that helps ladies x
