Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Clair, April seems a long time to wait for an urgent appointment.  I agree with Beth, ring again and ask to be put on a cancellation list, and/or push for an earlier appointment, it’s not fair to make you wait and worry that long.

Yes Helena, it’s freezing even though it was sunny here today, however, I’ve just had to open the back door and stand on the doorstep for a few minutes due to the most massive hot flush.  Himself was not impressed with the cold air rushing in, shame, poor him, Not.

Lovely lady sorted my mangled Knitting out, that was after they all had a good laugh at the mess I’d made.  We decided it would be a perfect fit for a alien, heaven only knows how I managed to stitch all the bits together in the wrong places.

I’ll ring tomorrow and see the trouble is you have to speak to a centre not the people directly involved. Hopefully he’ll be home.tomorrow, fingers crossed xxx

Hi ladies, sorry to butt into your thread but most of you prob know me already .Clair do they think your gynae problems are related to your hormone treatments if so they are supposed to refer you under 2 week rule as it is cancer related .I am also the proud owner of a 10 cm cyst and an a large uterine polyp courtesy they think of Tamoxifen ,got seen in less than a week after referral and now looking forward(not really ) to an op to have them both removed on 14th March .

Clair, have you told your doctor you have to wait that long for an appointment? I just wonder if he could put some pressure on for an earlier appointment. You could just do without all this stress, and waiting weeks is going to be horrible.

I hope baby Macsen will be home soon, you must be dying to see him. Sending you a hug

Coo-eee lovelies,

Have yet no idea of what you’ve all been up today, or haven’t yet got up to? !!. But I soon shall.

However, I’ve been on a mission, tracking back through my prolonged absent period, in search of an answer to Lovely-Lilliums ref and wish to return to Italy. As per usual, (grrrr), I have to rely on myself to find that answer, because despite me questioning a number of times, (grrrr again), I didn’t get a reply.  No no no, I’m not upset or annoyed, in fact it’s been a delight to read through, AND see all the daft, amusing accompanying photos and captions. You lot really do crack me up, you know.

Always a lifting, supportive, sympathetic word, and or photo to boot, to whoever, about whatever.

In fact, in the words of George Gershwin “The world will pardon my mush, yes I have got a crush on you”, thats’ on ALL of you’s. You reeeally are quite exceptional, I’ll have and wish you to know. You’re all like family to me, and yes, I’m going all gooey eyed now, which means I definitely do mean it. THANK YOU - you’re like a big bouquet of beautiful, colourful, scented flowers, but with the added human extra of also being warm, loving, funny, quirky and compassionate flowers. S’all true and heartfelt, so write that down in your quote books !!

Back when I’ve caught up xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Jill, my consultant said that she doesn’t think it’s related but if it is it’ll be very rare. The Bc nurse did tell me another one of her ladies has had the same problem she had a tamoxifen break and still had problems so they’re not sure about links. Good luck with your op xxx
I’m hoping I get a quicker appointment but I will take your advice Helena thank you xxx
Dizzy I’m hoping my dr put all the problems I’ve been having in my referral letter xxx

Hopefully you will get seen sooner .

I do think you could push to be seen under 2 week rule cos there is a possibility it’s cancer related .Kick up a fuss.

Nite all, am shattered following my early start this morning, see you all tomorrow xxx

Corr-Clair - cold NOT go, without saying, that I hope you ARE seem sooner and everything then gets well sorted smoothly for you.
Same goes with and for you, Jill. Good to see you again, but NOT for the reasons
xxxxxx

I agree Dizzy and maybe remember although we chat away like old friends here we are in fact strangers so handing out addresses and phone numbers to people we only virtually know isn’t really what we should be doing, I’m not trying to get involved but don’t like to see unease on the forum Xx

Oh, and a Happy Birthday for the 29th. Hope you had a lovely day.

I noted from your message, that you received my birhtday card, which btw, would have been my last correspondence.

Love to everyone. Hope you’re feeling better today, those that haven’t been, and that the rest of you are having a good day

Delly xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Can we now draw a line under all of this and get back to the fluffy nature of this thread please.  Not feeling happy about any of this and I do not want to feel that way because it is spoiling my enjoyment and commitment to this

Helena xx

St David’s, of course, that’s why Macsen made his appearance early, he wanted to be here to join in the celebrations.

Horrible grey damp day here so apart from venturing out to get our papers this morning we’ve stayed put.  Had an enjoyable day, reading papers, doing crosswords, finishing off the jigsaw (himself has to do the boring bits) and started knitting the scarf that goes with my chunky waistcoat, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Time to get dinner on and pour a vino.  Catch up with you all later xx

Evening lovelies, wow what a difference good painkillers make  I’ve felt almost like my old self. The only down side is I can’t have any wine / alcohol while I take them :frowning:
It’s made my day and attitude so much better.
Little Mac went home earlier and is doing well they say it was just the shock of being born. Thank you for the St Davids day wishes I’ll pass them on xx
Love and hugs to you all xxxx

Evening one and all

seems to have been a few things happening on here and enough has been said already so I’ll not add anything further.

Im not doing too bad today. Work is unchanged and still rubbish…antibiotics are starting to do the job and things aren’t as painful.

Saw my counsellor today and after my meltdown after that infamous meeting, she feels I’m more positive again and that my horizons are lengthening which she says is a really good sign I’m coming to terms with everything. Hopefully that trend will continue.

Clair Im so glad little Macsen is home!! Fantastic news!

thats me for this day. Seeing my counsellor always wears me out.

Sending big St Davids Day cwtches to you all

Great to hear positive news from both Clair and Beth, so glad you’re both feeling a bit better.  And Rubycat, loving the pics, sorry you had to workout instead of Mr Handsome getting his hands on your buns, let’s hope it does the trick though xx

Clair, he’s adorable!!! Mwahhhh xxx
