Ruby, Carolyn and Moijan have given me an idea. I’m now busily searching for a donkey costume so I can go and be adopted down at the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, get fed on Mars bars ( yeh, naughty Moijan !). Well, I’m not getting any success with you lot on here adopting me, am I. Finding plenty of Panto “horse” costumes. Mmmmm, may have to use my imagination and a few tins of donkey grey/brown fabric dye - can’t find any geegee ones the right colour. Mind you, I might just get away with a big velvety nose and a pair of long ears, if that’s Ruby’s reaction to them !! Heeee-Hawwwww.
MRI - full spinal scan for me tomorrow morning. Only ever had one for a knee before.

Actually - can I cancel the Mars bar diet and just stick to some nice juicy apples and the occasional sugar free polo mints thrown in. Don’t know what it is with horses and mints, but I’m presuming it’s the same with donkeys?
Ooh I can’t catch up. However, phew it’s done Charys and so glad it wasn’t as uncomfortable - those pants are bloody marvellous Rubycat. You can have them back for your scan! Hopefully you and Felly won’t have to have a leg each! The fluffy waiting game does seem to be synchronising us all with waiting and tests. A bit like floating hormones.
Sadly Delly still no results for me. I feel so much brighter being off the tablets, I’m now thinking it was the drugs raising my anxiety. Trouble is it’s making me anxious about starting the new ones! Enjoy your long weekend Helena. I’m off tomorrow too and looking forward to GP, coffee and acupuncture! what a piggin day. First attempt at a conversation with the now infamous business partner, trying to start to organise my departure from the business. He is a man of zero compassion and even if I wasn’t feeling so knackered and sore, I’d still be leaving. The man is an a**e when it comes to dealing with someone recovering from cancer. ?
Clair I am so glad you have a date for the op. You can start to plan your recovery now, get bits and bobs in and start to cross the days off. It be the start of the pain free you.
My old old boobicle swelled up like a balloon today. It was so bad this afternoon I could have cried and took two cocodamol followed by ibrupofen before I could cope with it. I think wearing a ‘supportive’ bra as instructed was a mistake today. I think it was just too tight. So purchased two new larger cup bras in the local lingerie shop and will give that a go tomorrow. ? I hope the referral to the lymphodeama clinic doesn’t take too long.
Oh Beth I do think we should visit in a kind of Fluffy Possee and stick some girl pants somewhere unpleasant. Rotten that this is all on top of rubbish boob swelling too. What a truly horrible man.

Brilliant picture as always Ruby, although I should say that the number 9 is black, 1 is white, 2 yellow … I’m a synaesthete (not easy for me to say!). My senses are a bit jumbled up, so I see words, numbers, days, weeks and months in colour! Mum is the same, so at least a fun genetic link rather than a rotten one, even if we do see different colours. I am now wondering whether to delete this, in case I sound too weird! Some people do smell numbers and see sounds.
Rice was good, along with armfuls of purple sprouting brocolli from the garden. I keep thinking it will stop flowering and then we get another meals worth.

Synaesthesia is the word for what I have. I can’t quite describe it and too much info on Google! For me Friday is blue and Monday red, as is March, the letter M and number 4! My little google search meant I found out Lady Gaga has it and also Pharrell Williams!

Yeh flower, I got that Jobey and Ruby were having long waits on results, hence my commenting on. Things have sooo changed since my own initial mammos/biopsies result wait times when it was a matter of a week/10 days. Guess it just goes to show something obvious about increases in the last 10 yrs - praps less said the better in that respect?
Dizzy’s not come up with the mentioned Germanic female fiendful character, in “From Russia With Love” - never mind. It’ll probably surface.

No my head was telling me it was very important to attend the mammogram, to have the security of the checks. …that is was ‘good for me’. My heart was telling me…argghh. …runaway ! Lol

Delly - He llves about a mile and a half from me, so just round the corner. She is staying with him, not easy for her to stay here to be honest.
Dizzy - mine are very leggy, got loads of levels of shoots on the top, but I am not hopeful of anything happening with them

Delly, sorry, you’ve picked the last person in the world to know anything about James Bond films, I’ve never seen a single one. It’s really not my thing. And I don’t watch much TV either, so I usually don’t know anything about the things everyone’s watching.
Janey, I’ve heard of synaesthesia but never come across anyone who has it, that’s really interesting. But it sounds like you’d get a sort of sensory overload, isn’t it a bit overwhelming sometimes? I suppose you’re used to it…
Brothers, Charys and Helena, don’t get me started. I haven’t heard from mine since last July, not even a Christmas card. Or a get well card, I was having a busy time round about then, for all he’s cared. He’s sixty this year, and still behaves like student, I don’t think he’ll ever change.
It’s funny how the dates are etched in our memories. I came back from on holiday knowing my routine mammogram was due on the ninth of June. And on the 17th, I was out all morning and when I came back the letter was waiting. And I thought it was the all clear, because they’d phone wouldn’t they? But I saw Mike’s face, and saw it was a really fat envelope…And I knew you don’t need six pages to say it’s all okay.
I think my head went into protect or may be denial mode initially until the woman who called me said I needed to come back in and that it had to be the next day. She had no empathy just kept telling me it was just a precaution, but it had to be tomorrow. As you know I work in health and I know routine appointments don’t happen in a day! The colleague with me is also a friend, so ended up giving me a counselling session!
