Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

I only have mobile phone access. Please can one of you lovely champions, or anyone with PC access report the post suggesting we see a knee surgeon!!

Hi. I’ve just emailed the moderators of this Forum Sunil, this isn’t somewhere to advertise medical procedures.

Thanks Catokitty - how are you doing? X

I’ve missed all the excitement, a knee surgeon in Mumbai??!! How random.

Gosh the roads are busy, if I’d remembered it’s Maundy Thursday I would have stayed at home. But I’ve just spent a happy hour or so choosing plants in the garden centre.

I didn’t get any of the just a precaution story, as soon as I sat down they said the scan looked exactly like a DCIS cluster of calcifications and they were sure the biopsy would confirm it. They were so busy telling me how lucky I was that it was “only” DCIS that they didn’t explain it would be touch and go whether I had to have a mastectomy, those calcifications were spread far and wide. I though early must mean small and easy to treat, and I didn’t even have a lump.

Goodness, I’m glad I don’t have to go through that again, touch wood!

This afternoon my daughter and number two son arrive home for Easter, the house is going to be busy again.

It wasn’t that exciting Dizzy just some random sales post that started talking all aboit what progesterone was…and then moved onto a link to a knee surgeon in Mumbai. Just makes me laugh! Lol

I was told at biopsy, by the surgeon, that it was 50/50 it being cancer or not. However due to my age (47) she leaned towards it being bc.

Yay, thats me done til Tuesday :)  Am starting the weekend off in style, my bestie and I are off to Edmunds Fine Dining for a 6 course tasting menu, yum, really looking forward to the evening with her complimented by some very nice food and wines.

Hope everyone has something lovely planned for Easter.

Dizzy I was quite surprised how quiet the roads were by me when I left work at lunchtime, thought it would be a lot worse, but then I only have to go two miles to home.

Hello Janey
Lovely to meet you today over a coffee and I’m so envious of your little session u had booked. Might book a few myself !!
But …took grandson to collect my new bedroom tv ( pink of course) and then McDonalds so sat here feeling like porky pig now …oink oink ???( sure ruby has a better piggy pic than me!)
Fluffy hugs xxxx

Yum yum! I was very good and resisted cake - probably only because GP put fear of God into me with ECGs and blood tests. Now I’m not sure what I’m most anxious about the letterbox or the phone.
Thankfully a wonderful acupuncture session with the marvellous Cath worked wonders and I zonked out on the couch.
Lovely to “meet” you and Barton, Carolyn - perfectly timed cheer up. I am still contemplating a knee operation in Mumbai though ?
Clair I hope you’ve had a relaxing day. I think we are doing days out this weekend, including a trip to Cornwall on Sunday.
Next weekend I’m being whisked away to a secret destination for my birthday. Hopefully no traffic. Apparently within an hour away and lots of walking! Rubycat I don’t envy you the Salisbury traffic today.
Have a lovely time Helena, sounds delicious. Dizzy I’m envious of your daughter time. I think mine is hoping to get back next week. It’s her birthday at the end of the month and I have no idea what to get her. Any ideas for a 22year old? Xx

Hello lovely Willows,

its ts just taken me ages to catch up on all the news.  Janey, always knew you were a very special lady, but wow, youve got a super power as well, you’re amazing.   Clair, so glad youve got your date through, and Helena, no matter how time and attention you give your brother he’s always going to be a selfish so an so, so, just you concentrate on you and Colin, auntie Lesley has spoken!  Hope your feeling a bit better Beth and looking forward to a break from the idiot partner.  Love the pics as usual Rubycat, Charys, Dizzy, Carolyn, Ann and everyone else big hug, so sorry if I haven’t name checked you all, Im feeling all rushed and hectic, so much to do before I go away on Monday and since stopping work I just can’t do rushing anymore.  Had day planned out for tomorrow and just found out that I’m on the rota visiting a lovely lady in our knitting group in hospital.  Poor thing, no family except a sister in Australia and not many friends.  She’s very poorly bless her, such a sweet lady and lonely and frightened so we’ve decided to try and make sure she gets at least one visitor a day.  Gets things in perspective, at least I had himself and friends when I was at my worst, she’s all alone.  Right enough doom and gloom, time fir a vino as dinner is almost ready.  Enjoy your evenings, the long weekend has started xx

Hello ruby cat
Yes done us proud with the piggy …just feeling stuffed and I can say that Janey was really good …no cake or cheese scone. A couple more meet ups and we will get her into our bad habits though !!
Sounds like you all have plans …just the weather to behave.
Hugs xxx

This sums up today lol lol lol

it really made me giggle!!

Lesley, that’s so kind, it must be horrible to be in hospital and not have anyone to visit you. I think you look at things with a lot more understanding once you’ve been through this yourself, it must be so much harder for someone on their own, whatever their illness.

Janey, I’m not good at knowing what to buy for people, but jewellery is usually a good bet for my daughter, she likes silver earrings from craft fairs, which is a perfect excuse to keep going to them. Or does your daughter need anything for her new place?

Helena, all the traffic from Birmingham must have been driving through Dorchester, and most of it seemed to be caravans. When it’s quiet all winter I forget about holiday traffic, and having to book restaurants and cinemas in advance. But the campsites are all busy now, luckily there are routes which the tourists never find.

Enjoy your meal out, it sounds like a great way to start the weekend.

Charys, was it harder waiting for biopsy results knowing it was 50/50? Although my biopsy process went on for weeks there was never any doubt, so I never had my hopes up that it would be clear. I think I would have found it harder if I was hoping for good news.

Clair and Beth, hope you both are feeling better today, and at least you both have definite dates for things to happen.

Ruby, that’s a very happy pig, but cake always puts a smile on my face. No getting fluffy in my handbag…

That must have been quite a day Beth! But don’t get mad, plot your revenge…

Ooooooh Dizzy, don’t you worry. I will get my own back but I will bide my time and will be subtle but effective!!

This whole BC experience has taught me a great deal about myself, and about others and I’m pretty good at establishing what makes a person tick - I know what pushes his buttons and as the weeks go on and my end date gets closer I think I might have a bit of fun lol

In the interim it’s four days away from the madness now so Yayyyyy!!!

time to open an Easter egg I think lol xxx

Yay, Beth!! revenge is definitely a dish best eaten cold ?, you go gal!
Well, my hubby could do with the surgeon from Mumbai…is having physio, says ‘ouch’ a lot at the mo & walks with hiking poles.
Anyway, wishing all you lovely fluffies a fab easter & lots of ???
?xxx

Morning all

Hope everyone is well this morning, not a very nice day here in Birmingham, overcast and chilly.

Hiya Helena
My fault about weather …I thought I would put washing machine on …hubs says I’m a witch for jinxing the weather …good excuse to get the tapestry out and relax though and maybe sneak a bit of Easter egg …ssh no one is looking .
Xxx

The rain hasn’t got to us yet, but I’m hoping it will rain tonight, as I’ve had fun potting on veg and sowing more seed. I’m completely confused by what day it is though!
Pulled loads of rhubarb and steeping it with ginger ready to make jam. OH not keen on rhubarb, but I can’t bear to waste it.
Charys you’ve taken me back to my student days - I worked at McDonalds. Well not for very long, I couldn’t cope with the nylon outfit and got into trouble for cooking too many filet o fish, I didn’t realise they had to be cooked to order! Xx

Hello my lovelies,
it started off sunny in Somerset then got cold and cloudy I did manage to get the back lawn cut and a bit of light pruning then I decided to try and turn the compost in the big bin! Oh dear that was a mistake after a few lunges and turning I felt an awful pain in my tummy so quickly gave up and went in turned the heating on a read a book instead leaving hubby to do the rest bless him.
He even sorted the overgrown wisteria out the broken trellis has been removed and now we have new posts and wire supports.
I think I’ll stick to just watching gardeners world for a bit.
Have a lovely easter weekend whatever your doing, lots of love and hugs Clair xxxx

Ooh Clair it’s a full hour tonight! I tried turning compost the other week. It’s a no from me too! Xx
