Progesterone, assorted other hormones and fluffy cake

Hi all

I’ve just got back from the hospital, and all is well. No nasty pathology surprises and the wound is healing well, despite the prickly bits poking through. So I’ve now had a total of 300g removed from my “good” breast, nearly three quarters of a pound. The next bit will be waiting for the swelling and bruising to go, and going shopping for new bras.

I’m feeling a bit tearful now, which is really silly, but this has gone on so long. And now suddenly I’m done, signed off and I don’t have to get my top off for anyone other than the mammogram radiologist ever again. No surgeon and no oncologist. It feels a bit strange. I called it my unfinished project, to get put back together again, and now its happened.

Thank you all for the sparkles, can I officially hand the big girl pants back, because I won’t be needing them any more.

Beth, I think you must be next in the queue, ready for the 27th.

Thought I would post an image today and might be real tomorrow as we are forcasted for snow here

Did you have a pud, or see the gingerbread house in the bar? I wonder if my girl or her boyfriend cooked for you Ann?! Xx

Hi Janey,
It was a bit of a flying visit as I was on my lunch break as hubs was taking YS out for lunch, so I joined them for a starter, but sadly, no time for pud.
I did see the chef team through the viewing window & there was a young woman there, ? your daughter…

Soooooo unhappy with the beautiful snow pictures…its really NOT FAIR!!! Please…a little down south ?

I’ve just picked up my little winter foster charge, look at that face!!! For anyone who hasn’t seen hedgehog teeth…dont they look sharp.

Oh I can’t add pictures from the phone app …ok…

Afternoon Fluffs,

Helena - Pretty snow garden scene. Could have sworn I just saw a gnomes head pop out from under the bench cover, bottom right?! A little smattering here to wake up to, but still blue so far.

Charys - That’s just not fair of your phone. Promise us a hedgehog face and what do we get - Zilch (sniff). What a tease!!! Whoops, spent too long typing, have just caught up on the cute but vampirish toothed hog piccies. Are you fostering it or something, or did you rescue it yourself, Lady Attenborough??

Dizzy - Soooo glad to hear you’re on the “up” again. “Silly”??  What, feeling wobbly and overcome, shedding tears of relief and happines after what you’ve been through, silly? Naaaa, never. (a bit bonkers otherwise perhaps :smileywink:!). Whoohoo girl. Bloomin marvellous :smileyvery-happy:

Lovin all the sparkly and comical animal piccies. Now where’s my pen gone. After seeing that Lady Gaga or Madonna-esque bra of LesleyLush’s, I need to quickly amend my request note to Santa :- “Dear Santa, Please forget Rudolph jumper with flashing red nose that also plays Jingle Bells. . . .Having a change of image. . .Can you I have one of these instead (please find photo enclosed) . . . but if it’s not too much to ask, could you replace the fake gems with real ones. . . and I promise to be a good girl next year, . . . but I can’t reeeally promise anything after then”. Do you think he might fall for it ? Naa, neither do I. Faaar too naughty you say? Oh well, leave it at the jumper then. What d’ya mean, you don’t think I’m good enough to have one that plays “Jingle Bells”, and not even one that just squeeks either. Ohhh what, that really is harsh you lot.

Love to everyone, DingdongDelly xxxxxxxxxx

Oh Charys that it just totally adorable xxx I’m really jealous of the snow photo Helena how beautiful we’re just freezing down here no sight of a snow flake anywhere :snowflake:?
I’ll catch up with you all later love and hugs xxx

BethyBoo - How are youooo and everything/everyone else doing at the mo?? Caught up far enough back to hear you’re awaiting op on the 27th to get the offending bleep removed - Good. How’s the teabag and nail varnish sticking going on your thumb? xxxx

Thank you Beth and Delly and everyone, you’ve all been so supportive. And now it’s time to adjust to phase two…

Helena, I’m dead jealous of all that snow, we’ve hardly had any since 2010 when we had about a foot for a month and a wonderful white Christmas. Daisy was just a puppy bouncing through the drifts and slowly turning into a woolly snowdog.

Charys, I love Mr Tiggywinkle, he’s so cute. I wish we had hedgehogs, they’d be so welcome to all the slugs, its so sad they’re struggling now. Too many badgers I think…

We went to my mother’s today to take her out to lunch for her 85th birthday, it feels like time to really celebrate every milestone. She’s doing amazingly well for her age, only a bit of deafness and some dodgy blood tests that she won’t let them investigate any further.

Enjoy your evening Fluffies!

Good evening gorgeous Willows,

Love the the snow pic Helena.  Himself and i ventured into town this morning, it was freeezing and we had snow flurries.  It felt really Christmassy with all the lights and Christmas music playingwith big snow flakes whirling around but they didn’t settle and it only lasted for about 20 mi utes or so, that’s quite enough thank you.

Aw, how cute is your hedgehog Charys.  We get quite a few in our garden and when our lovely Myrtle was still with us she often used to wake us in the night barking like crazy when she found one and himself used to have to go out and drag her in anD lock her dog flap to keep her from going out again and waking all the neighbours.  So strange how she knew when one was in the garden and used to charge out of her flap to confront it.

Cannot  believe Christmas is just over two weeks away.  Remember last Christmas Day when we all kept sneaking away from the festivities to come on here to speak to each other because we couldn’t stay away? Xx

What DarlinDizzy - you’re babysitter’s 85 !! You must be keeping her young. Bless her. What’s the phase two then?

LesleyLush - I’ve been scouting around through posts to see who it was you names dropped a while back. Could remember it was Baker, but not the first name. You said Colin Baker. Is he a naturalist? 'cos I catch an early morning wildlife prog sometimes called Nicks Quest, as in Nick Baker. Handsome young guy with a ponytail and just wondered if they’re related, or whether you’d had a headache moment and meant him. No wonder hedgehogs have developed such pointy teeth with mutts like your Myrtle after 'em.
