Anyway, I thought of you today, Helena, when passing Clovelly Bowling Club on the coastal walk…
…on our way to Bondi beach, where we had a nice little drinkie at the Icebergs pool.
Have a lovely holiday as well, Lily.

blimey its 10am and there is no one on here, either everyone is still in bed or they are off and out on this lovely morning, well it is here in Birmingham
Good morning everyone
Helena xxxx
Good morning you lovely lot
hope everyone slept ok. I tossed and turned quite a bit but did have almost 2 hours straight between 6.30 and 8.30am!! What a difference that makes lol
i have gotten up with a really sore hip though. Wonder if I slept funny or something. Taken a couple of painkillers and hopefully it’ll ease. Ouch though in the meantime. Did someone say once that tamoxifen can make hips and knees sore?
hoping to go and see Hacksaw Ridge in the cinema tonight. It’s had some really good reviews so fingers crossed we go.
Weve had a really heavy frost overnight and the pavements are like glass. Going to stay indoors a while till it thaws out!!
catch you all later xxx
Morning! Just finished chores and now off to meet a friend for coffee in sunny Exeter. I don’t know about tamoxifen but I know menopause causes lots of joint pain ? I know research is mixed but I notice if I don’t take glucosamine - even if it is only a placebo!
Happy Saturdays and if it’s not already sunny with you, I hope it is soon xx
Hello lovely Willows,
What a glorious sunny day here, hope you’re all enjoying even if it is showing up your dust and grubby windows, Im ignoring mine. Went for walk into town, breakfast, mooch around shops then walk back along stream for the first time this year, and it wasn’t that muddy, beautiful in the sunshine, another 8 miles clocked up.
Tried on some tops in Zara, their extra small size usually fits me fine, shock horror, I looked like an overfilled cushion, Not a good look! Need to really start my daily walks again and cut down, think my daily glass of vino will have to stop for a while, boo.
Last night only two hot flush episodes again, they were pretty intense and lasted quite a while but I’m so pleased as that’s two nights running with just the two instead of every hour or hour and a half. If I can get the frozen shoulders sorted I’ll start getting some proper sleep again.
Rubycat, hope you and SO are ok and managed to get some arrangements etc sorted before the weekend so you can can a deep breath and relax a bit for a while xx
Hello lovelies,
we’ve had a lovely sunny very cold day here so we headed off to Dorch to have a stroll around the charity shops, I even bumped into a friend from work :-D. Then headed to the garden centres where I saw lots of willow trees which made me think.of you all <3. I woke up with terrible heartburn in the night and had to sleep sitting up in the end! I’m finding the flushes have settled but now I just permanently feel hot.
I’ve got all the veg done for tomorrow’s roast and tea is cooking so I’m having a rest now. I’m also not looking at my dirty windows especially the one with the cats nose marks on it that can wait until half term. My list of jobs is getting bigger.
Ann I’m loving the holiday pics too thank you for sharing it all looks beautiful xxx
Helena I can see the appeal of bowls what a beautiful place to spend time
I’m really struggling with being in a classroom nearly all day and I’m the first one to offer to do play duty just to get out, bring on the summer xxx
Right teas ready catch u later xxxxx
<Empty imported post>
Morning all! Hope everyone slept okay? I have a lazy Sunday planned, a walk in the woods with Daisy, then an afternoon with the Sunday papers while himself is sailing his model boat in Weymouth with the old lags. But I might squeeze in half an hour with the secateurs as my garden is looking decidedly shaggy. I didn’t do anything to it last year in the end, which was more about my mental state than anything. But I have some big shrubs which need cutting right down, and the roses to do. It’s not looking a very appealing prospect at the moment, cold, grey and windy.
Happy Sunday everyone sending you loads of hugs

Hello Willows,
That sounds like the perfect Sunday Dizzy. I’m afraid I couldn’t be bothered to get the papers this morning, it’s only about a 10 minute walk but it’s uphill all the way back. Just caught up on some recorded stuff on the telly, done some washing now going to soak in the bath then make some phone calls.
Hope you’re all enjoying you Sundays. No Delly for ages. Delly, are you ok? Xx
Afternoon lovelies
how is everyone? Seems quiet on here today so far.
We did go and see Hacksaw Ridge last night. What an incredible story about a remarkable man. A very well made film and it deserves its accolades. We’ve watched a documentary on YouTube to morning about the main character and the whole story is even more incredible.
Tesco shop done and hubby has gone to bed with a migraine. He doesn’t get them frequently bless him but when they come, it does floor him for a few hours.
Going to settle down and watch the rugby now before taking Mac out later.
Have a good afternoon all

Hello lovelies, we’ve been off to Weymouth for a nice walk around the harbour and a look in the local emporium. It was a lot of tat really but hubby is building up his vinyl collection and they have some bargains in there.
It’s far to cold to garden although mine needs a good sweeping and tidy but I’ll leave it until I’m off. Janey your garden looks lovely. Xx
I’m afraid I’m not a rugby fan, I’ve been watching Luther while doing the ironing. Xx
I am definitely a fan of Luther!! Congratulations Beth on a cracking score. I’m wiped this afternoon but that’s what Sundays are for! Xx
I’ve had a really restful afternoon which has been fab - and braless of course!! Such relief still.
Thoroughly enjoyed the rugby result, although the game was a little disappointing in places. Still, a win is a win!!
lookimg forward to dinner tonight… Chicken thighs and roasted veg! Yum!! Prepared some individual fruit salads for hubby and I to take for lunch tomorrow too. Trying to be a bit more healthy food wise and eat less rubbish!! Watching Sugar Free Farm has been an eye opener lols!
Xxx
Luther… now I’ve come over all unnecessary, in a Hinge and Bracket kind of way! Idris Elba, what a hunk! I never watched Luther, then my friend lent me her box set, well, I fell in love with him, but got so paranoid and scared, when Himself was out I doubled checked front and back doors were locked, would NOT open the door if anyone rang, and once after watching one episode, I actually changed my seat on the bus as a “nerd looking” young man sat behind me clutching a canvas bag which I convinced myself contained a hammer lol. No vino tonight in preparation for busy week of appointments, five in all, full of high hopes for solutions for problems, If not I’ll ask for prescription for marijuana (is that how you spell it?) Xx
Indian takeaway ordered
TV:
Dragons Den
Apple Tree Yard
Good Karma Hospital
and then bed as back to work again tomorrow and I am increasing my hours so it is going to be an interesting week to see how I am when I get to 1pm on Thursday
Hope you are all well this evening, it is getting quite cold here so think I might well be scrapping tomorrow as I cant be bothered to go out there and put the cover on the car, lazy naughty Helena
xxx
Roast all finished and cleared away, had a relaxing bath time for some more Luther I’ve forgotten how addictive it is.
Have a restful evening girls and I’ll catch you all tomorrow. Xxx
Helena
please look after yourself this week with your extended hours. Don’t overdo it, and remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day
I’ll be thinking about you xxx
Hi Mary, how are you getting on? Xx
Helena, I’ll be thinking of you, it takes a bit of getting used to at first and remember to be kind to.yourself. Xxx.xxx
Evening all! Enjoying some TV and trying not to think about work tomorrow. Week 4 of phased return (where has the time gone?!) and 3.5 days. Very glad I can use leave then until the end of March. Now tensely watching Appletree a bit behind live ?
