Glad you’re doing reasonably ok Jacks, I had the Deca bone scan and was told borderline Osteopenia too. I have the calcium and vit c tablets, are you on a weekly bisphosphonate as well. I was given them, I took one and had such a bad stomach I haven’t taken anymore. Going to see GP this morning to discuss options. Well done everyone we’re all getting there! x

Started last week of rads today ? it’s gone so quickly. So far no major issues, itchy boob and feels like I’m crushed up a packet of crisps and emptied it into my bra. Other than that all good. E45 cream working for me. Hope you all have a good week xx
Hi guys, nice to read about how your all getting on. Unfortunately I didn’t start my rads today (wounds not quite healed) hopefully starting on the 20th now. Xx
Hi you lovely ladies hope you are all well ?I had my 9/15 treatment today been absolutely fine but when I came home noticed boob rather red feeling tender so slapped some cetraban cream on I use it at least twice a day feels a little better looks like side effects are starting but I’ve done well so far!!at least I’ve had lots of help and advice from this forum which is a godsend thank you all.I also feel rather tired today I think things are catching up with me I try to just carry on and not sleep in the day so I can sleep at night but think I’m going to have to slow down a little and have some rest,
today has been really hot here 29 degrees so unbearable sat with all the doors open to get some air ( live in Nottingham)
Amylou hope your wound heals for next week so you can start rads
pluckyducky well done
kary hope you get your planning sorted hope swelling is sorted for you
Marydan try not to worry too much it is really quite easy my tiredness has only just started and I’m 9/15 sessions in my partner drives me for moral support more than anything it’s so nice to have someone by your side I’m sure you will be fine
take care everyone keep posting Jackie xx
Hi Kary, still hoping to join you. My scan booked for next Weds now, as we are all hoping straight to rads and to avoid chemo. That’s so exciting about a first grandchild and something positive in all this nonsense xx
Hope you get your dates through soon those of you ladies that are still waiting. Well done Jacks and Pluckducky, not long now! I finished my 15 today, they warned me about the sore skin and tiredness getting worse for another 2 weeks thing, but not having to go to the hospital every day will be so much easier. Still waiting for ultrasound app for the fatty lump though! Won’t be really happy until that’s sorted out. Cooler weather coming!! xx
Hope you’re all well. I’m having my last treatment tomorrow. I’m so happy to be finished. It’s gone so fast and without a problem. Wish the same for the rest of you
You’ll find you go from the nervous newbie to the veteran very quickly. My first few days I was nervous then it’s fine and becomes routine, then new people start and you’re no longer the newbie and then you’re done ? I was nervous at first but the nerves go quickly. Not sure authentic food thing. I’m eating everything in sight at the moment. Back to diet and exercise next week.
About the food thing!!! Not authentic food thing lol stupid autocorrect
Well done heather and pluckyducky. Must be good to get to the end of rads. Marydan I’ll be nervous too when I eventually start. Prob October at this rate!! I feel like I’ve been waiting forever. Nighty night everyone. Sleep well x
Morning ladies hope you are all well?I’ve not been on for couple days been feeling rather off can’t seem to be bothered with anything not sleeping too good my mind working overtime didn’t expect this as on 11/15 rads thought I would just be relieved to get them over with !!!anyone else feel like this??
pluckyducky ,heatherC very well done it’s true you soon change from newbie to veteran?can’t believe how quick its gone after all the long wait hope you continue to improve and best of luck keep in touch Jackie xx
Jacks, think you are being a bit hard on yourself you have had a life changing diagnosis, surgery and now rads there will be times both now and in the future that you will feel like this. although the treatment end maybe in sight the mind seems to take a bit longer. I thought when i finished chemo i would be delighted and although i was i was also felt quite “flat” if you know what i mean xxx

I had op on 15 June and started rads on 29th Aug. But I did that by choice because we had holidays in between. Good luck everyone starting thus week. I’m looking forward to travelling to hospital tomorrow ?
Good luck MaryDan. I start Wed. Same as you nervous but glad to get things started and move on to next stage. One step nearer to the end and back to normality
Good luck everyone starting rads it’s really easy try not to worry too much the end is in sight big hug to all Jackie xx
Hi ladies, this is my first post on any link on this forum (trust me forums are a god send so I’ve read plenty just never posted) after 2 ops (lumpectomy) Onco Dx test & two months in on tamoxifen, I started rads on 1st September and today was my 13th session of 20 so over half way, just thought I could join as I find people’s thoughts and questions quite interesting and forum does a good job letting others know there not alone!
That’s great you’ve finally got your date Katy. You and me Sue after Weds I hope! Xx
Thanks ladies everyone so lovely and welcoming on here I use Aveeno cream once a day and it’s very good. Skins in good condition so radiologist told me today, it just feels a little"sunburnt" but manageable. Just few side effects from tamoxifen night sweats which aren’t the best and a few muscle aches here and sometimes the odd stabbing pain apparently it can take up to 6 months to a year to heal from surgery so I’ve been told but I thank god every day that I have been quite lucky through my journey!

That’s radio 1 done and dusted! Wasn’t too bad at all. Managed to hold my breath perfectly… Must be due to all the practice I did on the sun lounger whilst on holiday xx
