Now Bridie - I was just interested in where you lived!!! I don’t think that area makes any difference at all.
I’ve just had blood weight & height done - no other tests - think it depends on which drugs you’re having. Your onc will talk to you about that when you see them . My friend has had ECG, chest X ray, bloods ht & wt… and we’re in the same unit. Write down all the things that worry you - get a notebook - then you can tick them off as they get covered at appointments, and ask questions if they aren’t covered…
I’m starving today- trying not to stuff my face as I really can’t get any bigger - I’m usually a neat size 12, but have bought bigger trousers… NOT good!!!
Stay calm - you’re just in another lull. Like me - I’m going to make the most of the next 7 days before chemo…
Love Td xx
Hey Bridie - you are exactly the same as me! I too had grade 3 and no node involvement so when I saw onc I thought I might need chemo but hoped not. Unfortunatly do and lots of it - 8 sessions! That seems like a lot but if its needed then we just have to get on with it!
I start chemo w/c 7th July and fully intend to enjoy myself before then (sore arm permitting!)
I did not have any ECG’s scans etc.
Take care

Hello all my lovely new friends, shattered but then it is 11:25pm
OH wrecked himself on mountain bike today, needless to say he is fit for nothing.
Just want to hurt him even more but bugger, may just whack him in my sleep (pretend)…
Right anyway just wanted to pop on and say I started a thread in the undergoing treatment:chemo for us all.
I called it newly diagnosed movers if you want to pop over to the dark side, sorry in weird mood tonight.
Love and hugs
Lisa

I’ll keep up with that thread.
Thanks Lisa
Hoe are you Bridie??
When’s the appointment??
I’ve started dreaming about the chemo now, so not getting agood nights rest. I’m starting reflexology sessions today - hopefully that’ll calm me down!!
Big love Td xx
see onc 25th june for plan. spoke to bcn this morning she mentioned epirubicirin so I had a look on cancerbackup site. Scary!
I think the 25th of June seems to be the day for plans/results as my mum and another lady on here get results etc on that day.
I will be keeping my fingers crossed for all of you.
xx
thank you Jules
Your welcome sweetie, I know how emotional and distressing these appointments are.

Bridie -
I’m sure that as with everything else that has happened to us, once everything is up and running it will be fine and we will cope. My ‘compatriate’ Helen is starting epi on Friday - we have our appts at the same time. I asked her yesterday how she was feeling and she said ’ I feel fine about it. It’s got to be done. I’ll reserve judgement as to how I’ll physically feel when it happens!’
Enjoy the sun - if you have it there! It’s lovely here today.

Hi all you ladies out there. I have just been for my result - and of the 18 nodes that were taken out NONE - that is NONE of them were infected - We didn’t know whether to laugh or cry - so we did both!!! Will still need chemo - seeing the onc next week - what a feeling of utter relief - I haven’t been able to sleep without the odd ‘dram’ this last week or so. So thank ‘whoever’ that it isn’t as bad as I was anticipating. The wound is really sore - the bcn said it would get worse before it got better - and she isn’t wrong - I have never taken as many paracetomol in my life!!!
Take good care all.
Pam
