Hi Jo C,
am sure that some people have taken sleeping tablets with steroids but would give chemo unit a quick call to check 1st.
Hope tomorrow goes well for you.

Morning Glampers,
Glad you managed to escape Ninja and also glad to see the mood is upbeat for some amidst the scary shadows, spent a day chained to the ‘WoeIsMe’ gremlin followed by the ‘I’mDraggingYouToBeFecked’ goblin. FEC2 down yesterday, broken wrist sensation but no nausea this time hurrah - 6 days last time! Was given Emend which seems to have done the trick so far. I’ve got a rucksack full of beans and have been up since 4am counting them, totally wired but the ‘SitDownAndDon’tMove’ fairy is sat firmly on my feet. I’ve mentally cleaned the patio window whilst watching the sun stream through the filth (my 2 yr old nephews choccie hand prints) this morning - job for OH tonight I reckon.
Whilst on my way back to tent from Fecking, I’ve set up a pasty n cider van near the Glade playing soft sunshine chilled out music, and I’ve also got a stash of Neutrowotsits to dispense, mine rising and at 3.71, so come and fill your boots gals.
Hen weekend is a great idea, we may be able to coax some zombies out with pear cider to teach us the Michael Jackson Thriller routine?
Going to get mentally dressed before district nurse arrives to jab me at lunch time, so I’m off to JM now for a reviver in my PJ’s. Still can’t believe no real nausea, feel like I’m luckiest girl in the world this morning.
Good luck with SE’s, being prodded, pricked, poked, etc etc
Bev x
Bev, so glad that Emend has worked for you. I still get nauseous for 9 days but haven’t puked since I used Emend.
Got my diary out - what a busy week 3 I have!
Hypno tomorrow afternoon, Haven Model Experience Workshop in the evening - I’m going to be strutting on the runway in a Haven Yorkshire Day fashion show in 7 weeks!
Shiatsu and Oncy on Thursday.
Friday has Macmillan Massage in morning and U/S and insertion of metal marker clip in my bap on Friday night.
I’d better find the Energy Fairy.
Next week’s diary is unsurprisingly empty except for chemo poisons on Wednesday ![]()
Ninja, blimey, busy busy lady.
If I see the Energy Fairy, I’ll shove her in your direction after I’ve borrowed her briefly, so that I can actually get dressed, instead of just PJ’s lolling in my tent all day, mentally getting dressed. Need to kick the ‘SitDownAndDon’tMove’ fairy out in the nicest possible way first though.
I obviously need to plan some more remotely interesting things to do and away from the house also - does walking to postbox count??
Right-oh, GetUpAndGo fairy just smacked me one so I’m off to get dressed whilst the feeling lasts.

Amazing how having a great plastic pipe threaded through my veins can be so uplifting. Thought it was time to dump the lovely Sinead as as I still have a few tufts on the LG, I dug out an old friend I met on my travels, the hairless dog from Peru. If I can’t be a good example, (far too late for that), let me be a dire warning. This is what happens if you sit around in the sun for too long. Protect your heads fellow baldies.
morning campers!
Last night the whitefuzz fairy crept into my tent and covered my bonce in an allover dusting of soft white hair - how strange is that? I’m assuming that final fec6 wont dislodge this but but… its not that I’m ungrateful you understand… but I dont want fluffy white hair - I want my old stuff back!
glad everyone is leaping about in the sun. Think I’ll pop to the JM for a chilled rose wine before I go for a swim. Can someone teach me how to do butterfly?
CM can I have an autograph?
hugs all
Dawn
S2S, wiggle your hands up and down together, then get the rest of your body to follow where your hands went, so the “wave” flows down. Don’t bother doing the arms until you get the wave working.
Either that or sit in the garden and look like a beautiful flower and the butterflies will come and land on you.
You can have an autograph, but I charge!
Hello - I’m writing this from the comfort of my car where I have been for the last 2 hours. This is not because I fancied a change of scene, you understand, but because said car has broken down.
Annoyingly it has broken down 10 mins from home and the breakdown people said they would arrive within the hour to fix it Initially I asked if they would call me when they were 10 mins away but no, that’s far too difficult to comprehend - in this time of SATnav and mobiles how, I ask you, how could they possibly do that???! Impossible. Now, carrier pigeon! - that’s the way forward!
So then I phoned an hour later - he would be another 30 mins - too soon for it to be worth me going home.
*****
Interlude - man came but only with pickup, no tools @@£!!?? He could only put car on truck and take to nearest garage - which is also only 10mins away. I COULD HAVE DONE THAT MYSELF 3 **%^# hours ago!!
Aaaarrrghhgg. SO CROSS
Hello Ladies,

SCACO I hope you got home ok and the recovery man isn’t sporting a nice black eye or the shaved eyebrow look.
Donna I am glad you are doing well after your op and keep resting!
Edited cos stupid iPad changed Donna’s name Grr
Glad you feel fine Donna, keep up with the exercises the physio has given you (Join me in doing the barbara windsor carry on camping and the YMCA exercises in the Glade daily - they do get better with time), but don’t overdo it. Good luck with the path labs too. I’m now 11 weeks post mx and it has healed brill, the node clearance i had 7 weeks ago is only causing some minor issues now.
Off to JM - a reviver is needed, and this time I’m not in my PJ’s
Bev x.
Hooray Donna - really, really pleased that you feel so well.
Back home (eventually). If you see a confused looking man, wearing overalls and carrying a defunct set of jump leads please ignore; I am sure that he will find his way out of the Woods soon, just possibly 3 **@@ hours later than he was expecting. Hah!
Evening fair warriors,
just popped in to check up on you all… having made my way out of the woods and into tamoxifen land i can honestly say that i feel bloody marvellous. Chemo is thankfully a distant memory now, so take heart all ye who have far to go… there is light and sunshine on the other side of the woods… and the fresh air smells wonderful…
Am still available when needed for night shift work holding a flame thrower or 2. (i’m a bit like the territorial army now, call em up when times get tough)…
Lots of love to you all
SB xx
Well done Donna. Here’s hoping you are heading for rads rushes.
All is well in the rads recovery glade. I am still needing a little sit down/siesta in the pm but beginning to feel (shall I whisper) normal. Well, whatever normal is anyway.
SCACO the man wandering around the woods appears to be traumatised. What did you make him do with those jumpleads?
SB great to hear you are basking in the sunshine beyond the woods. Your experiences with chemo induced digestive disorders will be remembered by us all.
My head fuzz is slow growing. Bonce still shining. I need the hairyfairy to come and sprinkle some magic.
Hope everyone is feeling chipper. See you soon.
Good evening fellow campers, alls well here at the moment, I am enjoying a couple of weeks away from hospital appointments etc before embarking on Rads rushes then its 4 and a half weeks and hopefully thats it apart from the check ups.
I picked up my dress today and sobbed when the lady in the shop wished me luck for Saturday, soft cow arn’t I lol.
Anyone for a glass or two of something nice in the JM ?
I’m with you Saphy, I fancy an ice cold Mo-hee-toe or 3.
Saphy, you’ll look absolutely gorgeous - you’ll put the rest of us scruffy lot to shame.
I’ll join you in a drink - anything as long as it’s icy cold to counteract the hot flushes.
I need a side order of decongestant and a large plate of clean super soft tissues to go with that. Oh, and a couple of paracetamol as an extra special little treat.
On the plus side I’ve now had 10 out of my 19 rads so I’m more than half way through the rushes - I’ll soon be joining SB gambolling in the sunlit fields beyond!

Donna, glad your doing well; Saphy you’re going to look beautiful in that dress!
Just popping in from the far side of Rads Rushes to post a link, my friend and her daughter are running a 5k RaceForLife - with my name on thier backs!!! Please sponsor if you can, many thanks xxxxx

Alto, sending VaselineFairy for if your nose gets sore from all those tissues! Hope you’re better soon xxx
SCACO, you mean they left an inspirational woman with cancer sitting there? Shame, shame.
Donna, so glad the op went well, and that you have kept most of your hair. It’s going to be some time before I do anything that can remotely be called styling.
A glass or three sounds like a very good idea, especially after another day of shifting books and files and trying to decide what I should get rid of.
