Just catching up on your posts, I have met Sandytoes on different threads, hello again and a special welcome to Babs!!! My current 1 is named Pammy… well she did appear in the 90’s!!! L:ike you I face another so I am open to offers as to what to call the next one remember when making your suggestions they are a pair??? I feel she’s been Pammy on good days ( and ‘THE Pamela Anderson’ on the not so good ones!) for so long it may be difficult to change her name after 14 years together…so any suggestions anyone???
Love to you all Jeanette xxxxx
edited this time for bad grammar which makes achange from bad spelling!!!
Hey Margaret
Glad someone can appreciate this god-awful weather we’re having. Saying that I’d probably find the heat a bit hardgoing with all the flushing that’s going on. Treatment all done and dusted, I did pretty well with the rads, only a slight pinkness and some flaky skin a week or so later. Hope yours goes well from now on.
It’s lovely to have you back in residence SCACO, and a huge warm woodland welcome to our two newest editions, sandytoes and Babs. It looks as though you’ve already made yourself nicely at home sandytoes, and I’m sure Babs will be very comfortable cuddled up close to SCACO. Do you need a bigger tent now SCSO, seeing as Babs is bigger than you expected?
Got my last rads tomorrow - can’t believe it - just a few days over six months from my op. Next week will be my first week without a visit to hospital since my DX on 15th December. Hope I’m not tempting fate by saying that!
Just crept into my tent after having first EC chemo treatment today. Not feeling too bad - good to see my big black dog Buggerit has been keeping unwanted people out of my tent although one of the kegs of Strawberry Fruli looks a little lighter.
Welcome back SCACO, glad you’re back and all went well.
Welcome Sandytoes - maybe we should have an indoor ski centre in the woods too, it would be nice and cooling (not cold) for those to chill with the Rads rushes (and when weather is unbearably hot and burny) and will have the most exotically handsome foreign ski instructors with well-toned torso’s to admire (whilst they teach us bare-chested)…
Welcome to Babs too, I’m hoping she has a perfectly proportioned cousin available for me in 12 months time…
Cant keep up with this thread, been working and getting prepared for end of chemo and start of rads and first check up mamogram on 1st August - please let all be clear…big hugs to to everyone, wana party with me on Weds, last tx!!!
Shar xxxxx my eyelashes have ran away help, anyone got any spare???
Oh, YES PLEASE Bev! I’m off for some apres-ski with Philippe and Jean-Luc now. Have slept ALL day. And now wide awake…! I’m sure they’ll tire me out in no time at all.
Well done, supertrouper, your first step might have been missed among the flying bottles and flashing merkins. Now just you cuddle up with Buggerit, snuggle down under the lightweight duvet and rest.
Fairly quiet night for my snuggled up in my tent with the dog at my feet. I did hear quite a lot of singing outside later on. And can someone explain what a merkin is.
Sleep fairy was no where to be found last night - mind you I haven’t see for for a while now. 2 more days on steroids and then I might sleep for longer than an hour.
My plan for the day, explore around my tent a little, maybe a refreshing swim in the lagoon and then this evening try and find the notorious bar. Maybe a few drinkies will help the sleep fairy find my tent tonight.
A merkin is a replacement for your Lady Garden (hairs down there) when it disappears. Quite a way back on this thread there’s a link for a merkin knitting pattern. We have all customised our own and wear them, swing them, wave them with pride!
Fantastic - just googled Merkin and got back the result of it being a pubic wig. Quite fancy the idea of making one so I will have a look for the knitting pattern.
When I got married I went for a final “tidy up” before the wedding and honeymoon and the beautician offered a full wax below and to vajazzle my new hubby’s initials “down there”! I declined. How boring of me!
Sorry, ST, Sleep Fairy has been camping out with me for the last few nights. And days. I’ll see if I can get her to move on (she’s lovely, but rather boring company) and I’ll point her in your direction. Think the loris is going to have to change to something slightly less snoozy. Seeing myself in the mirror I think the dormice are just a bit too pretty to represent me, so I’ll have a think and change my avatar to “something suitable”. As I’ve just had my second MUGA scan it needs to be green, I think!
Oh Sandy I got married a week and a bit ago, and like you went for a final ‘tidy up’, she couldn’t do under my arm because of the SNB wound but she offer to do down there, well I thought as some of my fellow woodies have lost theirs, I’d have mine done to show solidarity etc, I had what I think is called a Brazillian, with the landing strip bit, jesus h whatsit I have never known pain like it, it was still throbbing 2 days later, but it does look nice and neat. I think if I decide to do it again it will only be after taking at least 4 pain killers first.
Lol Ninja I doubt if anything would have helped. Mind you thats nothing compared to my friend a couple of years ago, the night before we went to Mexico she decided to do a bikini wax with those little strips, it wouldn’t come off, after a long, long soak in the bath it still wouldn’t bugde so there we are after a 10 hour flight, still trying to prize it off, it was hilarious.
I remember going for a bit of pruning of foliage before my honeymoon. I wanted my legs waxing, too.
I’ve never been very hirsute. The woman asked if I wanted half-leg or whole-leg. I asked for a quarter-leg - I only have hairs on my shins.
I got charged their minimum - for a half-leg!
Years on, I took my DD along for a bit of a tidy-up before a holiday - her first experience of waxing. I had to hold her hand! Poor lamb didn’t know what having one’s LG waxed was going to be like - and we only had the edges trimmed…
Welcome back, sooooo great to have you back where you belong!!! Is that a song?? Perhaps a TN version with PB accompanying!
Well I’ve missed pages and pages and loads of new people all cos I’ve been snoooooozzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for England and France. FEC 2 seems to have knocked all my stuffing out and I just have NO ENERGY…Anyway welcome to sandytoes and others, you all sound like you’ll fit right in.
LG wise, I now have a selection of splendid merkins cos mine has upped and gone on 'garden leave’along with head hair. Am trying to put up new photo of baldy me but it keeps crashing. Sinead O’Connor I ain’t!!
Saphy, I missed your whole wedding!!! Did TN acquit themselves well at the party. Hope you really did have a great day.
Anyway, this sitting upright typing lark is exhausting so am off to lie down again.
See you all later
Wandyx
P.S. It finally worked, although not sure I will keep it up long!
