Standing outside the dark, dark woods.

Wandy, now that is a photo with attitude. Did I mention you have a beautifully shaped head <ducks>? </ducks>

I have done the LG waxing before. As you say, DIY is disastrous. Once got those flaming strips stuck on my leg and could NOT prize the b*ggers off but waxing at a salon is much worse the first time and then settles down. Painkillers half an hour beforehand helps!

xx

Oh Wandy what a fabulous photo.
TN were brilliant, did a couple of numbers till our singer took over, there’s only so many times you can hear the same song over (I got a brand new combine harvester) and over again. We had a great day and cannot wait to see the dvd when it comes.
So whose for a drinky or three in the JM later ?

Good afternoon, like my new photie? I’ve discovered armpit merkins. They look even better now I’ve had rollers in them…

That made me laugh out loud! Ha!

Ninja!!!

Priceless!!! I want some!

Wandyx

Had to log in before I switched off for the day just to see the photo! Great to end the working day with a good laugh - thanks Ninja!

Right, that’s it. I have officially left the woods. After over 60 hospital appointments in the last six months with 6 chemos and 19 rads, I’ve finished active treatment. I’ve cleared out the empties, thrown away the empty crisp packets and zipped up my tent. Anyone who needs me can find me skipping in the sunlit fields around Tamoxifen Towers.

I have, however, kept a very tight hold on my flamethrower. I feel very peculiar at the moment and my safety net has gone. I keep having attacks from the OMGDidTheyGetItAll gremlin so I need to be able to give him him a rocket up the backside every now and then.

I’ll make a guest appearance in the Patisserie Yurt whenever I’m needed - if you want anything lemony and sticky then I’m your gal.

Sending loads of love and hugs to all those Woodland Warriors being poisoned/stabbed/nuked/cut & shut - the far side of the woods is a little scary, but the sun is definitely shining!

Three cheers, Alto! (I’ll join you on Thursday.)

Cheryl

Hey Alto, hello I’m over here in the fields, skipping around tamoxifen towers too. Doesn’t it feel weird. Maybe we can skip round holding hands like I used to with my friends in primary school. We’ll stay close to the edge for now so that Mezzomamma can see us and join in on Thursday.

Just remember they told me not to underestimate tamoxifen because hormone therapy is as important a weapon as chemo so you aren’t really cut free, just using something which gets in the way of your life less xx

Wooo hooo congratulations Alto on finishing active treatment, I’ve calculated that mine ends on or around 5th August then its Letrozole Lagoon till the end of my 5 years of tablets. I have heard that the Towers are on the edge of the Lagoon so we should bump into each other.
Like you I shall keep a small flamethrower handy just in case any gremlins show their ugly heads, mind you I need to get through the Radiotherapy first, no doubt I’ll have a problem or six as usual.
Right am off to the jM for the evening I am in need of liquid refreshment.

Well done, Alto; we’ll all be joining you there at some point.

Ooohh why didn’t they tell me that armpit merkins would be itchy when I got them from the Ebay shop?

evening All

Glad to hear everyone in high spirits… chem end in sight for me on 1st august, and as many of you know …as long as we stay on track it’ll be Florida for me and mine , trying not to think of coming back home for for mx/rads…

Anyway Ninja ‘the hof’ was agood suggestion but has been veetoed by OH who never usually passes comments about such things… I think it’s because of Hofs BGT thing or perhaps because … can’t say … he reminds him of the bloke in embassy who was rude to him when he went for his USA Visa …so any other suggestions?

SCACO, hope you feeling just a miniscule stronger today,

MG… with you and the ‘sleep’ thing I keep feeling worn out temp goes up to 37.2/3/ unless I rest, an hour on the bed and it drops… so I’m spending hours on me bed… you should see the hight of my ironing pile it would give Tamoxifen Towers arun for it’s money!!!

Well gonna text OH to bring me a cuppa upstairs… don’t you just love modern technology…

Love to you all

Cheerio Alto - NE looks particularly pleased to see the back of you. Well done and congratulations - you did it!!

Wandy - fab photo, your head is indeed fabulously shaped.

Sappy I’m a tad disappointed! What d’yer mean ‘the same track over and over??’ how can you mistake ‘I will survive?’ followed by ‘eye of a tiger’ as a repeat of ‘I’ve got a combined harvester’?? Really, my creative sensitivities have been hugely offended.

Ninja - fabulous darrhling. You have certainly upped the style standard.

Babs and I have had a pleasant day. OH is happily sharing the news about our new arrival, I’m currently knitting her a bonnet, bless.
Xx

Is Arimidex Avenue anywhere near Tamoxifen Towers and Letrizole Lagoon? Am I going to be all on my lonesome there? [sniffle]

Cheryl

Thats the point SCACO someone nicked their copy of the sheet music on the way to the venue and the only one they could remember was ‘combine harvester’, I think it was PB because we heard that he was slightly miffed that you all shouted at him to be quiet at the hen night karaoke. You know how ultra sensitive he can be at times, apparently he went looking for NE to challenge him to a bout of arm wrestling.
Mezzo I’m not sure but I do think that Arimidex Avenue is on the right hand side of the Lagoon hun, so your right there.

Oh, that’s good, I can join you for a swim and you can come have a stroll around the shops with me.

Cheryl

Sorry - Saphy I called you ’ Sappy’ apologies.

Fortunately I noticed that my predictive text had called Wandy ‘Randy’ before posting.

I’ve got to climb Herceptin Hill before I get completely out of the woods, but that’s close to Tamoxifen Towers and Rads Rushes. Still got to get through this last lot of SEs first though.

Wandy, I’m loving the new name, but best not use it on the forums for fear of the mods thinking we’re being weally woooode!

Good that the path has been trodden from one side of the woods to the other, I hope that makes the trip a teensy bit easier for those who have only recently set foot into the woods.

I’ve still got 3 more poisonings to go before I tackle the Mx marshes although I have already made a small start up Herceptin Hill then it’s off to the Tamoxifen Tower for me. I wouldn’t mind but I’ve been in the woods since March and my tent is now looking a little worn and lived in. Do we have a tent spring clean fairy as I think mine could really do with it!?

Know what you mean Jo C, my tent is also looking a bit grubby and threadbare after being in the woods since March, and still have 12 weeks of poisonings (taxol) to go, starting tommorrow, before I reach Rads and tamoxifen. Telling myself it is NOT going to give me any SE’s and I can work full-time through it to rescue a sinking project…don’t worry if I find I am in lala land on this one, I will wake up and put my health first!
Need to get a cleaner in for the tent I think - housework was never something that I was keen on, but I don’t have the excuse of never being home nowadays - do you think NE would be up to it? Otherwise might need to make good use of that flamethrower, so stand well back everyone!
