Zena my cbd oil arrived so going to take some tonight i am reading so much about benefits of cbd and gmaf/bravo yogurt my head is spinning. Been for Indian head massage today at hospital and booked in for reflexology and massage next week. Got to make the most of the few perks of this horrible journey. Hope you both having minimum side effects and Zena your bowels are getting better

Just awake at silly o’clock due to dexamethasone from chemo today … taken a zopiclone so if I suddenly drop off don’t worry ??
Weekly are going ok and just horrible red rash on my face that comes and goes … exhausted after doing stuff but that’s ok…and sleeping very badly.
And crazy hot flushes and vile night sweats from herceptin.
Sorry yes claire herceptin ( 2nd today ) all ok apart from sweats ?
Glad cbd came , I’ve had no neuropathy at all. Take drop every 8 hours I think, I do morning and night as up by my bed .
Il look at other stuff you mentioned ??

I’m good thx! Have now had 3 weeks so 1 cycle? So far so good… I’ve asked them to stop giving antisickness in the pre-meds which has really helped with the constipation!
The best news is that my lump is responding really well!! It was huge and now my onc is having trouble finding it… he said no promises until final MRI but we might be able to do a lumpectomy now instead of a mastectomy. This is such a turnaround for me as they had been telling me a radical mastectomy was most likely as the skin was inflamed and the lump was so big. It’s a bit scary though as I’m scared of them leaving bad cells behind. I guess I need to trust the experts!

That’s the news I want to hear so I can imagine how good it feels …
I also understand the dilemma of full mx … is it safer to do that ?? I want to live but want my boobs to be as ok as they can … but then given the choice they can go so I can see my kids grow up !!
It’s such a crap postition to be in isn’t it , but he guess we make the best of it and take advice …
Anyway I’m made up for you that that tumour has been destroyed so well , thank god we we are getting this treatment Hun xxx
Im ok - loosing eyebrows and eyelashes a bit now … slept less nights and sweats but I’m ok …
Got 8 more weeks as weekly for me and I still only had 2 fecs …

Wtp Fantastic news about your tumour shrinkage you must be over the moon knowing chemo is working so well. I am so happy for you. Still feeling bloated and my fingers are starting to feel tingly and numb so hope that doesn’t get any worse its my last session next Wed. Can hardly believe it really at times i felt like i would never make it.
Zena Glad you are doing ok apart from sweats and sleeping. It’s great to be able to function almost normally ( not that i feel anything is normal like life used to be) after FEC. I hope the cbd oil helps protect against neuropathy too and it’s good you haven’t had any symptoms of it at all.
Mojan I hope you are feeling better am not sure where you are in your treatment
Well it’s penultimate chemo today for me and it soon will be for you Zena and Wtp. We can do this and we will come out the other end ?

Wow - I can’t wait to be able to say it’s my last session next wk! I’m at hospital now having T2 (part 1) and falling asleep from the piriton. After this I’ll have 8 to go which feels amazing!
It’s my daughter’s 3rd birthday today. Never thought id be doing this on it… we’ll celebrate properly at the wknd ???
I’m getting on and off head sweats - just my scalp really but it properly sweats when it comes on. Do you think it could be my hair trying to grow (yes please!) or early menopause setting in (noooo!). I’m 36 and had 2 periods on EC but seem to have stopped now…

You will soon be saying its my last one! And your brilliant results will spur you on. Piriton always knocks me out and then next day am on a steroid high! Hope your daughter has lovely 3rd birthday it’s a wonderful age i have 2 hormonal teenagers but wouldn’t change them for the world. I am having sweats too not my head at moment so let’s hope it’s your hair growing back ? .
Hope today goes well and here’s to a lots of birthday cake and lovely 3 year old cuddles.

Tried zopiclone, nytol , and piriton as that also makes me sleepy on chemo … no luck though…
I’m trying to get laptibnab as well as herceptin now as blocks the her 2 receptions too …I find out today … also think I have 12 pax as only managed 2 fecin Fec s … I agreee claire Fec was so awful … il never be the same ?
I’ve had some amazing days with my family and kids , so wonderful to be alive isn’t it …
we keep fighting girls and won’t give in damn it !!!

Evening! Insomnia sucks! I thought it might be a chance to catch up on reading etc but I just feel too tired but constantly restless like I can’t get comfortable or like my legs need stretching! I’m lucky it only really lasts for a couple of days after the steroids but my mind keeps me up other nights esp when getting scared…
Ah my daughter’s birthday was great thanks!! She dressed up as Minnie Mouse - it was so cute - and she was so excited! It was the first birthday that she was really aware of. I’m determined to see many more of her birthdays! We will beat this!!
I only had EC (no F) but 4x rounds which were hard. So glad to see the back of it! I can’t wait until a week on Friday when I’ll be halfway through T!!
Have you guys got much hair yet? I seem to have fluff but my OH said it looks grey! I don’t really mind (was reddy blonde before) but think maybe it’s not real hair and I’ll have to wait until aftrrr T for that.
How about eyebrows and lashes?

Insomnia is awful my problem is I am so tired in the afternoon and i often have a sleep and then can’t sleep at night. Feel for you both? Not much hair just some fuzz and hardly any eyelashes or brows.
Zena interesting to hear your pushing for labtipnab good luck please let me know how you get on. I didn’t know you could take it with herceptin but will get reading we need all the help we can get.
I had last pax this morning and radio scan and planning app this afternoon so starting that in a few weeks. I am made up to finish chemo but feel too tired to do any celebrating yet! You will both soon be finishing and we can celebrate together with virtual ?and ? and ? So glad to hear you have both had lovely days with your family and huge hugs for treatment… tomorrow i think. Another one crossed off.

Insomnia is a nightmare… lol not !!
Didn’t get lapatinib so asked for pertuzumab… didn’t get that either, as not licensed with weekly paciltacel… gutted actually as thought I would . It did spark a debate andcthey have asked nhs England andcthey also thought good idea
To look into it … ( good for others so that’s something)
I have a vile rash all over my face , it starts day 5 and goes after chemo ( prob the big dose of piriton) I take piriton tablets but doesn’t touch it at all at home … it’s itchy and hot white heads ???
I don’t want to leave the house now on those days as looks like I’m 15 puberty ridden teen ?
Bloody typical I get the odd side effects!

I’m loosing eyelashes and eyebrow hair badly now and no growth at all on head , maybe the herceptin??
I’ve got number 7 tomo so 5 more weeks after that as only did 2 Fec so having 12 PAC …
Ages to go with this rash too …I’ve not taken the Dex and so sleeping much much better , but maybe I’ve got the rash cause of that ? Can’t decide which is worse , no sleep or rash … god close one …
Hope you both ok apart from the sleep thing.

Oh no rash sounds horrid! As if we weren’t feeling bad enough about how we look!
I’m just back from week 6 of tax. I’m due 12 too and had 4 rounds of EC first. So 24 weeks in total. It’s a slog, isn’t it!
I’ll then have surgery and then have 3 weeks and 3 days of RT (I asked today). The onc said that was the max but I’m sure I’ve read of others having 5 wks?
My surgery is all depending on final MRI. Lump feels very reduced - 10/11cm down to “can’t feel anything!”. However, the MRI will show if there are spots dotted around which will meant MX rather than lumpectomy. I was always told I’d need MX do I’m prepped either way.
My onc also confirmed clinical diagnosis of inflammatory breast cancer which sucks. He was very positive though saying the treatment couldn’t have gone any better so I guess I just have to keep my fingers crossed.
Do you know what op you’re having Zena?
My head fluff is def hair now! There’s a proper 5 o’clock shadow!! Yay!! It’s bald at the front though so not throwing the scarves out any time soon!

I have rash on my face too it’s on my cheeks and looks really red and spotty so your not alone Zena? Hoping it goes soon as if we don’t have enough to deal with. Glad your hair is coming back it would be great to have enough to ditch the wig by summer. Hope insomnia is better Zena and shame you couldn’t get the drugs i have read a lot about them.
Wtp2016 Great your oncologist is so positive about treatment at least you know the chemo is doing its job.
I am so tired at the moment hoping it gets better soon but I think it can be a slow process and then radio kicks in ?

I’ve got dioxycyciline fir the rash and dermol cream , il let you know if it works , but as you at the end claire hopefully it will clear up soon ?
I’m nervous about rads and op , got used to chemo so moving on to new things is daunting. We are here if you ever need a moan Hun or just a vent about anything xx
W super dooper news about your lump , that’s fab … mine also hardly there now ,but I’m guessing mx as was seen big and my history is not good . I’m really nervous about op as they will prob take all my nodes so be left with dicky arm that I can’t garden with . Used to being so active around home , I guess we just have to get used to new normal ?
Think the sweats are from herceptin as they get less over the 3 weeks ( thank god)
So had my number 3 herceptin today so expecting a wet night ?..
Trying to eat healthy but my cancer seems to want sugar all the time and I give in too easily… how are you both doing food wise ???
I mite get a bike tomo , it’s my bday soon and not had one for years and just got Maggie her first time be so I’m only one with no bike now … and after news about cycling this morning thought good idea ? xxxx
I’m glad I’m not the only one craving sugar! 
Everyone tells me to avoid it as it “feeds the cancer” but man, I can’t get enough! Easter did not help with trying to be healthy - nor do wellmeaning visitors bringing cakes or the many coffee and cake trips out in the daytime - what else to do to cheer myself up when having a low day? hehe!
Weekly tax has def helped me to try to be better than I was. Gained so much weight on EC - 3kgs at every 3 wk weigh in ?.
It’s so hard, out of normal routine, stress, boredom, etc - the amount of times I find my head in the fridge during the day (not just to cool down the hot flushes haha!).
Some people say the weight goes after treatment but others say tamoxifen etc make it harder to lose.
I’ve got to go to a wedding at the end of May and currently look like a bald sausage when I try to squeeze into any dresses ?
I’m doing the couch to 5k app 4 times/wk to motivate activity. I’m slow but it’s getting me out and helping to fight off some of the choc haha!
Any food tips greatly appreciated!
Did you guys gain any weight on treatment so far?

Bike sounds like a great idea Zena - fun exercise with the family - perfect season for it with spring and summer on the horizon!

Can I join this thread please, as I will also be starting Paclitaxol in a couple of weeks for secondary BC.
My recent scan has showed progression, I have tried oral chemo and was very ill with them leading me to be hospitalised. Hormonal treatment didn’t prevent the progression so hence this plan of action.
I originally had ER positive invasive ductal CA breast in 2002, treated with FEC and radiotherapy.
This developed into metastatic BC September 2015 in the lung, pleura and bone.
The scan I had this month shows progression to liver, left breast and axilla lymph node. There is also some suggestion of something in my uterus. Apart from some pain and discomfort in my back and right side, which maybe due to pleura effusions reoccurring following removal of PleurX catheters, I do not have any new symptoms. My oncologist examined me yesterday and couldn’t find anything obvious on palpitation.
I am having a ultrasound next week to have a better look at my left breast and axilla area.
I am trying to get as much information prior to starting Taxol and I was very interested in the mention of using CBD oil for Neuropathy caused by the treatment. Where to purchase some, it’s effectiveness and whether it has been recommended by your respective oncologist.
My younger sister is still suffering from neuropathy following FEC+T chemo. last year so another reason for my interest in this treatment. Ann

I can’t help re the oil but I’m 7/12 through my weekly tax and so far no neuropathy. My onc did reduce my dose a bit though as my neuts were getting low.
I just wanted to say hi and that I hope you find the treatment as kind as I have so far. It’s been a lot more manageable for me than EC was.
I’m very sorry to hear this is a recurrence for you and that it has now spread.

God I’m so sorry , that’s not the news any of us went after fighting it already. Blummin cancer is evil .
I wonder if you should seek pertuzumab and lapatinib as medical research shows this together is given without chemo and had good results . Or pertuzumab with paciltacel.
As far as cbd oil goes please pm me and I will tell you where I get it .
I’ve had no neuropathy at all and feel pretty normal on weekly… I’ve had a bad rash but now got antibiotics diocycicline and it’s clearing up .
Aveeno is good for any skin dryness too .cbd is available at holland and Barrett but I don’t know how good that is . Mine is 4 mg .
Hi have told onc but not asked permission, it’s my choice and am using it whatever and don’t want negative input from onc as I don’t believe they are god !!
Although when I told one of mine ( I have a team ) she didn’t say much .
My tumour has shrunk after 2 vile fecs … and today 7/12 in I actually felt back to old self for first time in months . So chemo must be killing cancer ?
I still feel a lump as not had mx yet but hopefully by next 4 it will reduce even more .

W we’ve got to cut the sugar as moijan says … so hard though as it’s like I need it … but after I’ve had sugar my boob and arm aches , prob in my head but odd that ???
