Well done! I should have done ours today as just found out it will rainn overnight. Oh well. I will come and sit next to you with the last of my simnel cake (though there is plenty to go round!) and revel in the smell of freshly mown grass. it epitomises summer for me.
Thanks for the link JCJ, Iāve just done it too.
Iāve got so much from this forum that anything I can give back, I will!
Evening Benchies
Just having the pre-checkup wobbles - as you do - and realised that the strange pain in my right boob was due to wearing a rather firmly structured underwired bra for the first time in months!!!
grumpy (and relieved!)
Totally agree FF, Iāve done the online testing two too!
Grumpy hope all is well ⦠back to the gentle bras methinks! Hope they do not squish you too hard
No grass to cut - live in a third floor flat suits me Iām a rubbish gardener!!
Spoons and hankies topped up⦠and hugs for those who need a few.
Thanks for the link - done the online test⦠OH cut grass for third time last week⦠I can bask in his reflected virtuosity! (or something!)
Iāve not tried underwired bras since I lost half my bust⦠suppose I could⦠mmm⦠On the other handā¦
Lyn has moved in with a vengeance - arm really bad at the mo⦠seeing nurse friday for a massage
thanks for the spoons⦠manic at work at the mo⦠roller skates needed to get round everyone! Could be a good comedy sketch there!
take care Benchies
Just come to sit on the sad bench and stare into the distance⦠need one of own lace hankies today as a very young bc friend of mine slipped through the gate to eternity last night⦠desperately sad and unfair, but I am far richer for having met herā¦
Hugs for all who need them.
RevCat thatās very sad, as you say sad and unfair⦠Xx
Thatās just pants, RC. Hugs for you: <<<<<<<<0>>>>>>>>>
hugs to you RevCat xxxxx She was richer for having you in her life xxx
On a happier note: I just heard Iām a Great Aunt for the 5th time! Niece gave birth to second child; a boy this time, last week. They only just came out of hospital but are apparently both fine now.
Congratulations JCJ thatās lovely news, glad both are doing well. Happy for you all
Iāve done the BCC link thing.
Jelly, awwww! Lovely.
RevCat, am so sorry to hear your sad news. Thoughts and prayers with you and all your young friendās family.
MMM x
* polite cough* excuse me ladies could you tell me if there is a completly befuddled bench around here as i have been walking around in a fog since march 11 and i really need to sit and get my bearings!! I also would - if at all possible- like easy access to the irrational bouts of anger bench and a few trips to the black humour bench! I can supply my own hankies with plenty to spare if needed and will also try to keep any bouts of mad insane laughter quiet as possible.
Hello bad Bambi - and welcome - please feel free to sit on any of the benches that appeals, help yourself to supplies of calorie free goodies and hangover free beverages. Just stay away from the aligators and donāt swim in the Lake of Guilt.
Also to Irenee - thank you for your kind words yesterday; muchly appreciated.
Today is all four seasons in one day in Glasgow - currently lovely sunshine and blue sky but who knows how long itāll last.
Big hugs to anyone needing them.
Welcome bad bambi.
There is any bench you require, even if you need to add it yourself. All are supplied with multitudinous beverages and comestibles. Humour is a key requisite of Benchland - so welcome in and feel free to laugh, sob, swear (but donāt upset the mods or the delicate of sensitivity - judicious deployment of the * key recommended!) or rant as much as you need to. Itās probably best to do any of the above as far as poss from the FF (****ing furious) bench if you donāt want to find yourself fed to the alligators!
Talking of which, isnāt it about time we had an excuse for some of those nummy ali/gatorburgers? Is the weather going to be good enough for a BBQ this weekend? Of course it is - itās Benchland where anything is possible (even ME skating!!) Ideas anyone?
Bambi there IS a completely befuddled bench - itās over there in the Quiet Area with an excellent supply of cake, hankies, spoons and thwacking ladles (to hit the numpties we sometimes meet⦠you know who they are. ā It must be such a relief to be cured ā and āwhat a lovely shaped head you haveā ) Black homour and irrational bouts of anger are standard in Benchland, and anyhow itās NOT irrational to get angry about BC - itās very sane, and youād be crackers if you didnt!!! So there!!!
Hosp appt today OK - different chap at Lancaster, no specs, mustache, Lancaster Ladies will know him, and he was a delight.
Dog needs her walk now which about 3 hours late but thatās appts for you.
grumpy
Freudian slip today: year 2 class, marking each otherās maths test: I told them to āput a t*t if itās correctā. Iām sure I didnāt mess up my worms half as much before BC?! (Embarrassed face - canāt seem to insert emoticons on this stupid tablet - - except colon bracket ones!)
tomorrow i have my long hair cut short fr the first time since i was an early teen many, many years ago. am extremely nervous about it but in the grand picture of life it is a small partā¦
Rev cat - thanks for the advice i could be taking up spaces on many of these benches in the forseeable future.
jcj that key may get some use ⦠and i may end up paying rent on the ff bench for overuse!!
Grumpy thanks for the thwacking ladles could use quite a few of them! But you dont look like you have cancer⦠(what do they think i should look like? )
Welcome BadBambi⦠From your post, I can only think you will fit in very well here⦠Insanity is optional, but commonplaceā¦humour in abundance, and reality of emotion healthy & cathartic. Nne of us will bat an eyelid at any bench you create or find⦠Weāve ad a huge varietyā¦
ipad spell ting playing upā¦off to bed ininstead
see you tomorrow,
jane
[color=#000000]So, JCJ, you messed about with worms before BC?
[color=#000000]Hi bad bambi, welcome to Benchland!
Well, this week I finished chemo and got herceptin No.5 (only 13 to go!) out of the way ā & I start radiotherapy next week. Please remind me of Morecambe dates.
Jen.
