Wish I actually felt like doing any of that (well maybe not the skating bit?!): stomach uncomfortable again. I’m going to have to stop having big Sunday dinners - even fat reduced ones - as I always seem to suffer on Monday & Tuesday. Little and often for me for the foreseeable future!
Oh dearie dearie me. I’m so sorry. My ferret dance seems to have demolished the streamers and balloons. Perhaps I had too much of the glitteberry juice before I attempted it. I’ll just go back to dancing around my handbag and perhaps no one will notice.:smileyembarrassed:
Forgot to say - my dear friend with NETS has just had the brilliant news that the ‘thingies’ have stopped growing and are possibly reducing, so must raise another glass in thankfulness and celebration.

Been quiet here “darn sarf” too. Work is driving me slightly crazy, a lot has changed over the last year and the job is not the same as it was. If the govt. hadn’t changed the age for retirement I would have been gone by now and I really wish I could. As it is I’ve still got three years to go:smileysad:
But…weather getting warmer, nights getting lighter, spring flowers blooming in the hedgerows and that makes me more cheerful. As do the smiles from youngest grandaughter, seven months old now and beginning to be her own little person and the spitting image of her older sister.
Dinner ready now, off to eat and then watch the final of the Sewing Bee. I’d really like one of the men to win but not sure if they will beat Lorna. We will see…
I’m certainly lying down on the kn***ered bench. Got landed, at 5 mins notice, after an already long and hectic day, with After school wrap around care again for 2 1/2hrs, with 2 worst behaved boys in the school, one aged 4, the other 6. Utterly, utterly had it now and can’t go swimming.
I’m getting a little bit fed up of everyone saying how much weight I’ve lost and how I can treat myself to some new clothes. Does nobody realise how I HATE CLOTHES SHOPPING or how distressing it is that none of my favourite things fit any more? Time for some more fat-free cake?!
Aaaah FF your baby grandaughter can’t believe she is 7 months old, it’s sooooo true time does pass very quickly.

Ali, I am just short of a stone heavier that what I was prior to BC, grrrrrrrrrrrrr!! When I had the problem with pain control tabs last year I put on another stone and a half, was horrified, was weighed last week by nurse and am 2lbs heavier than last year, so extra med weight has almost gone, no change in diet obviously just had to leave body by itself. I have kinda reconciled myself that I will now be approx a stone heavier than my norm and as between ta"poxy"fen (another 6 years) and not being able to do too much this is what I’m going to be, so hey ho and have stepped up another dress size!!
Am joining you on the “k*” bench helped Mum on Mon and have been so unwell since, because I putter around usually daily life I had no idea how difficult things really are for me, a shock to the system indeed:smileysad:!

I’m having a bit of a strop this morning. YD on her way to visit for the weekend and I’m planning what to eat. All the delicious things I would normally cook, from what’s in the freezer, are too high in fat. Can’t be bothered to go food shopping this morning, as I’m still exhausted from last week and we can’t treat ourselves to a takeaway or a pub meal as they usually result in me being ill. GRRR! I daren’t risk being sick on Monday, as it’s my MRI.
However, the frogs are spawning in our pond this morning, the rockery looks beautiful with the snowdrops, crocuses and mini daffs, and Bob the bluetit is still roosting every night in our camera box; OH saw him(/her?) trying to attract a mate to it the other day, so we may have titlets soon?! (Is that what I have on my left side, after surgery? :p)
What do you eat?? You have a strop if you want to JCJ, you can pummel some alligators, seem to be a few wandering around…
Being superly, duperly honest if it hadn’t been for the help of an elderly neighbour who is as fit as fit can be Mum would be still sitting in old house, she was amazing!
Mum now says “don’t really know if I like the house” ok??? as I twirl between the “grrrrrrrrrr” and “hysterical” benches. haha!!

Was invited out for dinner tonight (MD) but have declined, am going to put jammies on early and have a take away delivered, yum yum, am busy next week and need my energy, spoons to be thrown in my direction please.

I managed to get off the CBA bench this morning to go and do something that I have been saying I must do since Xmas. That is buy a new landline phone. Old one doesn’t owe me anything, £13 and has lasted 8 years. Have got new one , it’s charging (for 24 hours!) and then I can get it set up and going. On the “really? it takes 24hours to charge it” bench. I want to play with my new toy!
So…on the way I passed a layby that always has a burger van in it but today it’s a new van with…wait for it…“JCJ Takeaway” on the sides:smileysurprised: Made me giggle! Then I come home and read your post JCJ, this van was obviously made to serve your every need, it’s just a couple of hundred miles away from where you need it. Hope you have found something to eat.
Glasses are not really spectacular Katy (aah yes, got it, like what you did there:smileyhappy:). However it is nice to have a pair that I can finally see through happily. Still waiting for the sunglasses though they have arrived and I have appt. to be fitted on Tuesday. Good job it’s not sunglasses weather! Chucking spoons your way.
Appt for mammo has also arrived today, 2nd April, consultant on 15th April so for once they’re in the right order.
Hope the MRI goes ok on Monday JCJ and I will keep fingers and toes crossed that the results are all good.
Hahaha! Love JCJ’s takeaway! Almost worth the 200 mile journey, especially if it’s full of delicious thongs I’m actually able to eat!
When I finally stopped sulking and throwing teddies out of prams (I have a LOT of teddies!) I concocted a meal out of some turkey saved from Christmas (in the freezer, obviously!) in a mushroom, onion and red wine sauce, with mash and veg. YD said “that was delicious…” (no need to sound *so* surprised!) “…didn’t taste like a low fat meal at all!” Success!
Tonight we’re having traditional Sunday roast, but it’s lamb so I’ll have to only have a weeny bit and make my gravy without the meat juices, No roasties for me either, followed by bread and marmalade-instead-of-butter pudding and custard.
YD brought low fat hot cross buns and a homemade fat-free banana loaf with her as my mothers’ day pressie! Nom nom nom! Ooh! And she also brought good news: she’s got a new job as a software engineer - had an interview on Tuesday, which we knew nothing about - she’s been trying to change job for a while and was expecting to take a pay cut to get into software development (her degree is in psychology, not computing!) but this is actually an INCREASE in salary!! So happy for - and proud of - her. She works so hard and deserves this.
Really should get dressed and strip this bed I’m sitting on. CBA this morning.
MRI scan done. Rather unnerving and VERY noisy, but all the staff were so lovely and reassuring. I had to ask them not to inject the dye into my left arm, and she argued that it didn’t affect the lymph nodes because it was into a vein not the tissue! What?? Blood tests are taken from a vein, but I’ve been told not to have them on left arm! I said “It’s on your head then!”, and she used the right arm. Incredible!
I’ve already booked my doc’s appointment, for the results, for Next Thursday at 11.30am. Just got to check the results are actually in the surgery before I go (told to ring 1st thing - they clearly have no idea how hard it is to get through on the phone in the morning! I’ll call in the night before) At least I’ll have an answer - I hope (*please* don’t let them say they still don’t know and I need biopsies!!) - before we go on holiday on 29th!
No mammo result yet. Two letters today which looked official and adressed to my first name. Hastily opened. Both from Conservative party begging for my vote (and wasting my money???) Grrrr!

Geez cannot believe it just dropped a whole tin of hot choc all over the floor, what a mess! Gone all over the cooker too, away to sit on the “getting on my own nerves” bench near the “where do I start, to try and clean up this mess??” bench but gonna sit on the “CBA” bench till I have a brainwave sooooooooooooooo could be there for a while!!!
