Nope have no idea where I am or what I’m doing:smileyfrustrated:, just know I will be superly busy…
Do you have your pet insurance now FF?
No posh place yesterday, friend hurt herself out walking:smileysad:, when we do meet up again unposh place should have reopened, though it may have turned into a posh place cause it’s being renovated!
We have had no broadband for hours today some fibre fault which meant the whole city was off, unbelievable how many things you/I do on the internet these days…
My feet are hurting badly again, boo hoo, tried elevating, tried everything but it’s not working, lido has obviously worn off and have a couple of weeks to go before next one, hey ho nothing much I can do:smileyfrustrated:
Ate choc chunk flapjacks they were ok, sooooooooo miss my caramel slices, note to myself look in that supermarket on Fri.
Have GS for a short while tomorrow, ED has an interview for placement.
Oh my it’s soooooooooooooo cold here, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Hate being cold.
Went to supermarket superly early this morning and bought heavy stuff so don’t have to carry too much tomorrow, woo hoo.
GS was a little hard work yesterday, he should have had a nap earlier but didn’t so I had full on “crazy baby” who didn’t know what he wanted or what he was doing, sounds like someone else methinks??? hahaha.
Had to give up reading one of my books, don’t like doing that but it was so “monotonous-ly” boring, have started another and it’s much better!
Think they are trying to close most of the depts at local hospital and move them to larger city, have an appt in a few weeks and it’s in other city (usually here), because of appt time I wouldn’t get back home till around 7pm, luckily ED is off that day and she will drive me down, whew!! Pretty sad:smileyfrustrated: and the worst thing is appt will prob last around 10 mins…xx
I hope your friend is feeling better Katy, keep off those feet. Do you have other painkillers prescribed? Maybe they would take the edge off? I hate giving up on books too but sometimes you just have to…they are boring or just do not grab your attention in the first few chapters. Glad the new one is better.
Most of our local hospitals round here are being closed too. How will the City hospital cope? Well, it just won’t be able to and everything will go to pot! Bl***y governments, all of them, both Parties are sending this country rapidly to the dogs!
I’ve stopped Purdie causing mayhem while I’m out and possibly causing herself serious harm. I’ve borrowed Daughters spare dog cage… it has enough room for Purdie, her bed, toys, litter tray and enough room to move around as well. My house is too open plan to confine a growing kitten in a safe place. Two weeks ago she couldn’t get where she can now. I call it Purdies’ Prison :smileyhappy:
Looked at the date on the school board tonight …yeah…05/10/17…oh s**t my car tax was due on the 1st!! First thing I did when I got in tonight! Sorted. Whew!
MOT tomorrow, please car, please pass, I’ve had enough expense this last month…
Hope you are managing to get some relief from your ouchy feet, KTC. As FF says: stay off them!
Fingers crossed for your MOT, FF. Mine’s due in half term too. Have propped a note up by the tea caddy to remind me to phone to book it in when I get home tomorrow. Meant to do it today: thought about it as I was getting into the car at school but forgot by the time I’d driven the 4 miles home!!
Got home and the first thing I saw was an NHS envelope on the piano. Arggghh!! It’s much to soon for a “normal” mammo result. OMG!! Looks at addressee. Oh it’s for OH, not me. Phew! TGFT! Then slight worry as to what it might be - but when he got home and opened it, it was only the sample kit for the bowel cancer screening. Phew again!
Arranged to meet a friend, who’s moved to Norfolk, in Norwich, when we go to visit the girls at half term. Also meeting up with another friend next week, in a local garden centre, after school, for a coffee & catch up. I used to see them both together, so it’ll be odd seeing them separately!
Oh ouchy ouch, :smileysad:ventured into town wasn’t that long but obviously long enough, really trying to stay away from the “CSL” bench…no other painkillers because of adverse effects, have no plans now until Wed.
It is hard if everything is open plan and you have to nip out, at least now you will feel she is much safer, FF.
Good luck with the MOT’s both of you, always scary times:smileyfrustrated:
Those letters…heartstopping…
When are you off to see the girls JCJ?
Our schools finished today, 2 weeks, are you off for the same?
Just realised I have forgotten something from town, what a twit, non urgent so all ok xx
Guessing that JCJ’s half term is the same as mine, we get ONE week at the end of Oct.
Yes I’m glad that Purdie is safely confined, she still has enough room to roam about and play, I can get in there quite happily . ( Daughter suggested it as a place for youngest GD! ) I don’t think we’ll go there but I’m certain youngest GS will be in it on Sunday, probably pretending to be a tiger :smileyhappy:
Car failed the MOT…a lightbulb! Now fixed, thank goodness no expensive repairs. Advisory on a tyre though so I will have to fork out for that at half term. I like good tyres on my car especially as winter is coming on.
Your poor feet Katy, have you tried heat? Or ice? Probably you’ve tried everything.
Have to go to school tomorrow, made the excuse about the car to not go tonight but there will be no-one there tomorrow so that makes the job easier.
Two weeks left of school then ONE week off. How I wish it were 2! Spending Mon to Wed of that week in Norwich and my car is booked in for service & MOT on the Fri. Also need to do some clothes shopping: 3 of my 5 pairs of work trousers don’t really fit properly. Clothes shopping (apart from charity shops)) can’t be done in the town where the garage is, so it will have to a be another day. I HATE clothes shopping! Doesn’t leave many days for the CBA or reading benches? Unless I strike lucky in S********, and find some when I do the food shopping on Tuesday?!
Couldn’t get out of bed this morning. CBA. Tired. After half term we have EIGHT weeks in school, breaking up (down??) really close to Christmas, so I shall need to be more organised this year - can’t leave it all to the last week this time!
Just had to defrost the freezer yet a *******gain because my ******* OH left the door open. Again. Arggghh! So much for a lazy day?
Applecake cooked and a chicken casserole in the oven for dinner, so all I have to do now is cut some yummy local bakery crusty bread to go with it. Bum firmly on CBA bench now. I believe there’s some recorded gymnastics to watch.
“force open spot”? I’ve thought about that for two days on and off and am none the wiser. When you explain it I shall think “of course” but at the moment I’m stumped. I’m actually rather brain dead at the moment, everything is Purdie related, where is she? What is she doing? STOP chewing the electric wires, got a water squirty bottle for the wire chewing moments, she doesn’t like that!
I’m told she will calm down at about six months, I look forward to it but then I shall miss her mad moments! She makes me laugh at some of her antics.
Son and family couldn’t visit on Sunday but are coming over tomorrow night. They are off on holiday next Saturday so coming to see me before they go. I’ve got a couple of jobs for Son to do. I could do them myself but it’s easier to get him to do them! :smileyhappy:
School is staying remarkably clean making my job so much easier. New teacher is a neat freak, I like that!
I struggled with that too, FF. In the end, after 2 days, I decided it must be pry mark (but mainly because the shop that sounds like that is where I think I remember KTC saying she bought her slobbing about clothes! :))
Glad your school is staying tidy - leaves you more energy to cope with Purdie?(not Perdue as my tablet insisted I wrote last time!!) Food shopping (and hopefully trouser purchasing) tomorrow in “not mad internments”. Dinner in café - if it’s open! Going to have to get the mincemeat ingredients ready to assemble at half term. Already?!!
I put a post on here offering my Chillows (1 full size, 1 mini) to anyone that wants them, but no response so far. Don’t know what else to do with them. Seems a shame to landfill and I don’t know if the charity shops would want them. Although fantastic and really helpful against the night sweats, I don’t use them any more and they’ve been gathering dust for years.
Bought 2 pairs of trousers but one is far too short so I’ll have to take them back. Hey ho. Another trip to the supermarket! Might pop across to the large department store (underwear) and get some while I’m there. Could do with buying another bra like the one I like before these stop being made too!
Teaching Y1 for half the morning tomorrow. That’ll be a novelty. I’ve not met this particular box of frogs yet! Will make a change from supporting in a difficult Y6 class.
I was helping out at lunchtime with the smallest people and one of them asked me, “Are you a boy or a girl!” Well! Wasn’t quite sure how to take that!
Hahaha JCJ, what are they like? :smileyhappy:, kiddiewinks are so funny…
At least one pair was successful:smileyfrustrated:
Oh purdie, purdie…yes you will def miss the madness, FF.
You were right JCJ, haha:smileyhappy:, going to buy another huge top today, last of comfy clothes for winter.
No offers for chillows yet?
Have been on the “keeping quiet” bench, getting ready to face today, it will be 7 weeks from last lido so obviously too long, next week hopefully it will be over…
Right have another one “Reynolds little home cold cuts” haha xx
Well…bought a new pair of shoes just to see if they would help my poor feet. They seemed to be pretty good until…have the biggest blister you have ever seen. Can’t win obviously. Always have to wear plasters on heels with new shoes but it wore right through plasters think I have squint ankles haha !! Will have to wear mules until it heals brrrr.
ED has been having some issues also with her feet and has to have blood tests etc if tests come back with no problems she will be referred to a neurologist so hopping over to the "pretending I am not worried " bench x x
Took trousers back after school yesterday then trekked across several busy roads to pants department store (got there before the car that was parked next to mine at supermarket - that’s how hideous the roads around there are - and why I chose to walk across!!) Purchased new bra - while they’re still making the comfy style I’ve finally discovered - and some trousers. Trek back to car. Job’s a good un!
Swimming tonight. Pool was busy with slow swimmers chatting as they swam, so I had to weave in and out. Then everyone got out 15 minutes before the end I was all on my own and felt I had to rush as I was keeping the lifesavers from tidying up and going home. Mad rush in the changing room as male pool staff are not allowed to clean while any ladies still in there. I shoved my clothes on and exited quickly, minus bra and with hair an absolute fright. Luckily, my car didn’t break down on the way home so I didn’t scare anyone! :smileyembarrassed:
Boooo about the blister, Katy. I hope when the shoes are worn in that they make your feet feel a bit more comfortable. Also hope daughter’s foot problem turns out to be something temporary or that can be fixed. I’ve had various foot pains that have all fixed themselves with time. I hope hers do likewise.
Bet you were stunning leaving the pool, don’t be soooooooooooo hard on yourself…hahahaha
Have to try and cripple into town but am trying to think of what shoes I can actually wear, do have mules but feel a bit silly wearing them when it’s raining and cold, it will need to be though:smileyfrustrated:.
Will buy expensive blister plasters today, bought the cheap ones but they are useless, it was a case of shop on the way home and that was the only ones they had grrrrrrrrrrr!
Have a feeling tasty things will be falling into my basket today, feeling sorry for myself…what a drip xx
Sorry, bit over excited: the curse of THE VAN has been exorcised! Yay! 3 years to next one. Considered paying for private one in between, but I’ll probably wait as I’ll be seeing onc every June for another 5 years and will still be taking Tapoxyfen. Will stay vigilant though!
Katy, you are a bad influence! Don’t like the thought of deep fried sweet things. Bleurgh! But I did find myself in the chippie ordering myself a fishcake to have as a starter as I walked home to eat my mini fish special with peas. That’s YOUR fault! :,D
Anyone seen FF? Is she hiding under the sofa away from Purdie and the GC? Is she accidentally locked into Purdie’s cage? Has the naughty little feline chewed through the phone cable so FF has no internet? Only time will tell!
