Stop feeling guilty, small rant (BENCHLAND) (Part 1)

You spoiled yourself indeed JCJ hahaha!!
Quiet today, faffed around blister has calmed down, managed in town yesterday with my mules on. Rain had stopped so all ok. Lido next week hurrah.
Where are you FF??? x x

Have been on the "busy"bench, have been doing those ā€œdo it laterā€ jobs so am now near ā€œthe haloā€ bench, hee hee.

Off for my muggachoc tomorrow to the place that wasnā€™t posh but now isā€¦leather chairs, neat little tables etc, weā€™ll see if choc is tastier.

We have booked a table at our new favourite restaurant, not for another week or so, let lido settle in, then woo hoo times, haha.

EDā€™s birthday next week she had her present very early this year so have bought her slippers as a surprise, she was saying that she had just thrown her old ones out so just have to hope that she doesnā€™t buy a new pair over the next few days.

Such weird weather today chilly, windy, sunshine and very dark at times but no rain, thank goodness.

Blister healing nicely, but will still have to wear mules for a while:smileyembarrassed:, the plasters I bought earlier took the skin right off so was left with raw skin, blinkin soreā€¦

Had a small clearout of books Mum benefited and shelves are now tidy xx

Whatā€™s for tea tonight JCJ?? xxĀ

Ā

Dinner is roast beef cooked over carrots, swede, parsnips and onion with sprouts and roast potatoes, followed by lemon cheesecake (not my own - in little glass ramekins from a 2-letter dessert manufacturer that rhymes with ā€˜shoeā€™) and fresh foraged blackberries.

Ā

I put the meat and roasties in the oven, set the timer, and went for a walk in the local woods and fields. The autumn colours are just starting and itā€™s warm and sunny today. Lovely!

Ā

Justwhat I needed as itā€™s performance management (wash my mouth out! :() time at work again and thinking about it has brought back soo many stressful memories. :frowning: Just have to keep reminding myself that Iā€™ve demoted myself so they canā€™t hold my old targets over me - and Iā€™m still doing way more than a TA2 would normally do!!

Ā

Had an email yesterday, (wish Iā€™d not looked at it): we have to arrange our own perf. Managmt meeting and set our own targets! May as well save everyoneā€™s time and skip the meeting altogether??!

Iā€™m here,itā€™s just that this flippinā€™ kitten takes up all my time. My house is not kitten friendlyā€¦I never realised there were so many dangers!Ā  My dining chairs nearly caused a broken hip yesterday, she fell and got her leg caught in the slatsā€¦ she limped for a little while but was ok.Ā  I need to watch her 24/7.

Ā

Iā€™ll shut her in the cage and Iā€™m on my way for dinner JCJ, sounds wonderful!

Ā

Looking forward to Hurricane Ophelia tomorrowā€¦notā€¦hope it wonā€™t be too bad.

Ā

Ā

Woo hoo FF, you are there:smileyhappy:!

Poor Purdieā€¦

JCJ, good job on performanceā€¦meeting with yourself cancelled asap, hahaha.

Dinner was delicious:smileyhappy:

Ā

Well, went to not posh but now is posh and it was full of people so we skipped out and went elsewhere, got my fancy muggachoc, stirred the swirly pattern and spilled a little in saucer, started wiping it up and knocked cup againā€¦all over table, cream jacket and bagā€¦so sitting on the ā€œclumsy clotā€ benchā€¦

Itā€™s soooooooooooo dark here, rain has been on and off but not horrific, just the darkness, doom and gloom to come, methinks xx

This flippinā€™ kitten curled up onĀ my knee tonight and we indulged in a love festā€¦then the next minute sheā€™s up the curtains and Iā€™m calling her a little whatnot and Iā€™m bleeding 'cos Iā€™ve dared to get her off the curtains! And where is she now and what is she doingā€¦?Ā  Whew, itā€™s nonstop chaos hereā€¦

Ā

Just a tad windy here today and dark, have had to have the lights on until midday, so dark and such a strange light, weā€™ve avoided the the worst of it, hope all on here can say the same.Ā Ā School a total mess tonight. overtime done. Swings, roundabouts, no worries.

Ā

Ā

Ā

Just waiting for pick up ā€œlidoā€ day is here!
Drink lots and sickness tab before you feel sickā€¦
Fingers crossed x x

Hope the lido day goes as smoothly as possible and hope it works this time with no Iā€™ll effects!

Ā

Just had tea at a local garden centre with a friend. They have their shhhhh C-word displays up. I had to avert my eyes. Much too early yet!

Ā

This afternoon, at school, the Y6 class were vile for the cover teacher and I was sooo glad it wasnā€™t me! I was working elsewhere with small groups and 1:1. No blame can be put at my door this time! Yeh! Definitely worth Ā£300 less in the paypacket. So glad I made that decision, even though I found it hard at first.

Ā

Oooh! OH putting kievs and chips on the table!! Byeeee!

Actually the kievs and chips were on plates! and delicious.

Ā

Also that should have been ill effects, obviously, not Iā€™ll effects. Stupid autocorrect! Grrrrr.Ā

Ā

1 more day with kids in, a training day at another school (walking distance from home) then at long last, a week off. 9 no get ups! Canā€™t wait!!

Sooooo glad that you feel your decision was the right one JCJ.Ā  Itā€™s not easy making decisions like that but the less stress will make up for the less moneyā€¦and you can still afford to eatĀ :smileyvery-happy:Ā  Kiev and chips sounds good.

Ā

Hope all was free from stress for you today Katy, recover soon and I hope those feet will be pain free very quickly.

Ā

My local garden centre sent me a leaflet advertising their C-word displays, Iā€™m ignoring itā€¦but I did buy two presents today. Is that oops or well done?Ā  Iā€™m trying to ignore it but also trying to be well ahead!Ā  Contradictory or what?Ā  Mince pies in the shops are tempting me but Iā€™ve resisted so farā€¦too many too soon results in a total aversion to them at 25th DecemberĀ :smileyhappy:

Ā

Schoolā€¦regular teacher off sickā€¦supply teachers donā€™t have the same standards.Ā  One classroom a total nightmare for the last two nights, so more overtime done. Bodes well for early nights to comeā€¦I watch my time like a hawk!

Ā

Ā

Ā

Ā

Ā

Ā

Ā

If it has made your life much happier JCJ, it was the right decision, sometimes money is not worth the extra stress, hassle etc, you need to make your life easier not worse, so good for you:smileyhappy:!

Messy supplys FF, how bad is that? Leave discreet notes hahahaha.

Ā

Well, things went reasonably well, was picked up and arrived early, canula a prob again so had to wait for doc, put drip up this time and it only took 4 hours, woo hoo!! Felt very tired and a bit dopey, so when ambulance came we went into seats and had to wait for another passenger arriving from another ward, I was dozing, next thing I knew ambulance driver was giving me a little shake and was asking if I was okā€¦said yes am fine, she then said would you like to lie down on the stretcher?? I said no itā€™s fine, she said come on Iā€™ll help you, sooooooooo was on stretcher all the way home:smileyembarrassed::smileyembarrassed: am laughing thinking about itā€¦fell asleep and woke up about 2 mins from home, woo hoo xx

What am I like??? xx

Sleeping it off sounds a good way to go Katy, hope youā€™re feeling better today.

Ā

Not a lot happening down here, had youngest GD while her Mum went to the Dentist.Ā  Pain occurring intermittently, apparently (after an X-ray) a wisdom tooth making itself felt.Ā  Sheā€™s 42, wisdom teeth shouldnā€™t be appearing at 42!Ā  Told to take painkillers and wait and see what happens.

Ā

Tried to teach youngest GD to throw things FOR Purdie not AT Purdie.Ā  Poor Purdie went and hid under the TV console.Ā  This was after sheā€™d already been traumatised by the sound of the torrential rain on the conservatory roof.Ā  Purdie didnā€™t have a good morning.Ā :smileysad: Ā Sheā€™s ok now, just snoozing on top of the settee.Ā Ā

Ā

One more day at school then holidays, so looking forward to three days off!

Sleeping your way back from hospital sounds like an excellent plan, KTC!

I hope the lido has done itā€™s stuff.

Enjoy your days off, FF - I bet youā€™ll be glad to go back to escape Purdieā€™s antics? :stuck_out_tongue:

Ā

Karma came good for me tonight. I was the last one out of the pool and I noticed TWO unclaimed 50ps left in the lockers. So I helped myself! I did call out ā€œDid anyone use lockers 4 or 12?ā€ But no-one answered. I Makes up for that theiving cow nicking mine the other week?! Then I noticed a lady looking at one of those lockers - sheā€™d remembered her 50p and come back to look for it. I immediately gave it to her - wasnā€™t going to deliberately steal from someone, but Iā€™m still 50p up.

Ā

Now rounding the most NE corner of Guernsey. Will arrive back as Vazon, where I started in about 8 weeks time. Just in time for Christmas? Iā€™ll have to do the last mile or so with a Christmas tree on my head and flashing fairy lights?

Ā

Training day tomorrow - Protective Behaviours, yet again; now done this annually for at least 15 years - YAWN! - but then it will be a whole delicious week off! Bliss.

Perhaps we can time your arrival into our annual pantoextravaganza JCJ.Ā  AND a holiday to greet you in Guernsey!:smileyhappy:

Ā

Had a lovely quiet day here today some reading done while Purdie asleep, collected SILā€™s C-word pressie from local S****burys. Lovely member of staff carried it to the car for me as I couldnā€™t manage itā€¦soooooo heavy!Ā  Ā She said she wasnā€™t allowed to but she would!Ā  YAY for S****burys staff!Ā  Ā Itā€™s staying in the boot until someone else carries it indoors for me.

Ā

Hope you are feeling ok Katy and that the feet are better.

Ā

Collected a prescription today at local pharmacy and asked if I could have a flu jab (I knew they did them), answer yes. Filled out the form, two minute wait, no argument about which arm to use (the pharmacist seemed more clued in about avoiding arms with lymph nodes removed than the medical professionals!) and I didnā€™t even feel it.Ā  I had to stay there for five minutes in case of an allergic reaction but was fine. Last year I had a sort of ā€œheavyā€ arm but now nothing.Ā  Iā€™ll go there again next year.

Hurrah 50p back where it belongs, hee hee:smileyhappy:

Glad you can get back to reading, FF, enjoy it while you can:smileyhappy:!

Feel as though my policy for early c-shopping is starting to rub off hahaha.

Ā

Have had GC here all weekend, itā€™s been lively, woke up this morning to GS saying ā€œhe can build itā€ over and over again, he was superly happy haha.

GD another story, she literally did not stop talking (as you know), my head was spinning, not your moves FF.

Didnā€™t go out so hope feet are better, will find out tomorrow, tea out, looking forward to munching out!!

Bed early tonight, donā€™t know how I managed but I did, woo hoo xx

Birthday cake in the shed, and itā€™s good, really good.Ā  Made by my 12 yr old GD for her Mum.Ā  Daughter is XX yrs old todayā€¦Iā€™m not going to think of her age 'cos how old does that make me?Ā  No, not going thereĀ :smileysad:

Ā

Soooo nice not to have go to school.Ā  Gave kitchen a thorough springā€¦autumn?..clean today, Purdie helped (no she didnā€™t) but today was the first day I allowed her the run of the kitchen and hallway too.Ā  Stairs blocked off so she couldnā€™t get up them.Ā  She explored the new surroundings most carefully and just loved watching the washing machine go round!

Nom nom! Delicious cake. Thank you. Followed the delicious lasagne that weā€™ve just enjoyed at the girlsā€™ house, made by YD.

Have just established that they are coming to us for Christmas so I am a happy mummy.

On the way here both OH and I managed to drench ourselves in tea. Station cafe at Peterborough. Cardboard takeaway cups. I didnā€™t put the lid back on properly after taking out the tea bag so when OH started to drink out if it he poured hot yea all down his shirt. Got on train and put both cups on the fold down lap tables. OH then knocks mine off onto my legs. Luckily, it missed my suitcase and wasnā€™t too hot and I was wearing thick jeans. I was more annoyed about the loss of the tea! We arrived in Norwich looking like a right pair of tea stained tramps! !

Just eaten birthday cake, yummy yum, thank you FFā€™s GD!

What a pair you are JCJ, just canā€™t take you anywhere??

You were both so lucky that spill wasnā€™t ouchyā€¦

Glad girls will be with you.

Ā

Had our tea out, oh my was lovely, had lamb shank, mashed potatoes and veg, then ginormous meringue, banana, vanilla icecream and toffee sauce, whew! Managed to eat it all hahaha. We have decided that we will keep going back there cause food is so good:smileyhappy:

Have to venture into town today, just odds and ends needed, then up to Mum, treats early this week because will have GS on Fridays from now on.

Will have to try and ease myself from the ā€œCBAā€ bench though.

No Spring/Autumn super clean here, good for you FF, do you want to come up here?? xx

Ā

Am on the ā€œvery worried Motherā€ bench, ED had a zillion tests last week all clear bar one, results this morning, referral to neurology, asap, further bloods in 4 weeks.

Had suggested to her (what they think it maybe) when we were talking about her symptoms but didnā€™t really want to think about itā€¦

Tears pouring and literally feel sick xx

A gazillion hugs, Katy. Weā€™re here for you. PM me if you want. xxxx
