Yep, ED referred to neurology from docs, in depth tests from consultant ordered, sent to docs, they say why are tests not done in hospital? as that is where tests will be analysed anyway…round and round…
What is wrong with us??? This tiredness malarkey is soooooooooo annoying…
Happy Birthday to FF’s grandaughter, woo hoo!
Fingers crossed for GS, it is a hard decision but if meds make his life better, that’s all that matters.
No muggachoc today, friend has other appt, am going to have haircut which means moving???
Can’t leave it till almost hol time because it’s a mess already, haha, another month? no way. Now means will have to have a trim just before we go, otherwise will be in same situation haha!
Exciting message from YD tonight! Am I available for a camping trip over the long weekend of 27th to 30th July? Sooo excited! I really thought we wouldn’t be going this year. She wants to try somewhere new so I’ve been researching adults only sites that are within a couple of hours drive from here
Test week at school. Such a strain being extra nice to stressed 11 year olds! Had a bit of a moment yesterday: child put their date of birth on the front of the test paper- 2007, I was about to suggest he’d made a mistake - because 2007 was too recent. Ah, no. 2007 was 11 years ago. That’s correct then! Oh dear! Must be getting OLD
Big supermarket shop after school. Spent a frightening amount! Going to bed to recover.
Have been on the “busy” bench and want to get off asap. Not happening till Fri, which is a thought.
Def picking up hurrah, it was odd cause did not feel unwell just supremely tired.
ED has her interview today, fingers crossed.
Sun is shining again??? What’s going on?? haha
Mobile phone from ED is not charging properly, went into shop to see about new battery, it will cost a fortune as screen is glued on so lots of work needed, really don’t want to buy a new one:smileyfrustrated:
Off for a muggatea shortly or muggacoffee, meeting auntie and cousin, need to move my bottom very quickly xx
So glad that your YD still wants to keep up the camping trips JCJ. Hope you find somewhere lovely to go.
Also glad that you are feeling better Katy, hope you enjoyed the muggatea/coffee.
I’m on the anxious bench today. I have a poorly Purdie, took her to the Vets on Tues as she was in and out of her litter tray every 20 minutes and I saw blood. Cystitis diagnosed, meds given by injection and hopefully better in 48 hours or take her back. More meds given to me to be given to her.for 4 days after food. She wouldn’t eat this morning so I had to take her back to the Vets for another injection. After the meds (painkiller, anti-inflammatory) she calms down and will eat.
She has no infection, this cystitis is caused by stress! STRESS? A cat has stress? All she does is eat, sleep and mooch about and play at catching toy mice! STRESS? Really?
I’m the one with the stress, my poor kitten is in pain, unhappy, subdued and so far it’s cost me £102! If she won’t eat her breakfast tomorrow I can’t give her the meds and we’ll be back at the Vets for another injection. Had to get a urine sample, not as difficult as it sounds, a kit was provided. It worked and I took the sample in. That will tell if it’s more serious.
Aaaah FF, fingers crossed Purdie is much better today, poor wee kitty. Meds will hopefully kick in quickly and she will be back to her normal self.
Had a lovely day today, went to park with ED and GS, sun shining and he was so excited climbing and going down the slide, while we were there ED received call from hospital, hurrah she will go up to hospital in our city on Mon to have her tests, whew, so no docs or other city to travel to. Consultant was furious about all the carry on and apologies have been given, so pleased it’s happening. xx
I am pleased to report that Purdie seemed a little better this morning, she ate her breakfast so I was able to give her the meds. Same honey based anti inflammatory and painkiller as after her op. She loves it, so there was no difficulty getting it down her. Tonight she’s almost her usual self. I’m so thankful she’s better now, but apparently she will be prone to it now. Changes to her environment = stress = cystitis.
Son now has my car, I’ve stocked up on food so no need to go anywhere for a day or so. Went to my friends for coffee (cleaning) today instead of tomorrow. Told school I may not be in but It would be done over the weekend. Not Saturday, I’ve been invited to a wedding! Hopefully I’ll get the car back on Saturday afternoon. Suggested to Son in a text tonight that if he fancied washing my car as a thank you for borrowing it… he could. Several humerous texts later I think I’ll get back a sparkling car. It’s in dire need of washing, the lanes that I drive to work are just so wet and muddy that the car looks brown instead of silver!
Sorry, forgot to say that I’m pleased your Daughter is having tests done on Monday. The Docs. all ought to be ashamed of themselves. Apologies are not really enough. Hopefully the tests will reveal a minor problem, easily resolved.
Poor poorly Purdie. I hope she makes a full and speedy recovery. Stressed? Is she missing her mum and/or siblings perhaps? Is the scary outdoors of the catio alarming her? Here’s hoping there won’t be too many more expensive vet visits!
Hurrah for tests at last, KTC, and suitable apologies! I hope the results come quickly and don’t flag up anything scary.
You would have been impressed with me today! I was! Took the Y6s out for an extra playtime because they’d finished their last SATs test. Let them have a football to kick about. Ball came off the “pitch” towards me so I stuck out my foot to stop it - rather in hope than expectation! - and executed a brilliant kick straight towards the nearest player! That raised my street cred with the kids, I can tell you. I didn’t let on that it was as much a surprise to me!! Shouts of: “Mrs J******'s playing FOOTBALL!!”
So tired. Nearly couldn’t drag myself to swimming but I’m glad I managed to because there were only about half a dozen of us in the"loch" and I do feel better for it. Now very nearly 3/4 of the way down the loch. Really hope I get a decent sleep tonight, though. Had c*** nights twice in a row. Exhausted.
Arggghh! Blank post because it said previous one hadn’t posted so I clicked “post” again. Stupid thing! And you posted, FF,while I was grappling with my last post. Glad Purdie is feeling better.
Just trying to pretend I’d been invited to the Royal Wedding today! Watched it on tv, a bit different from usual Royal weddings wasn’t it?
Car situation has taken a turn for the worse, Son’s car now has a new problem, can’t get the new part ordered until Monday so he needs my car for the next few days. I need my car too., I can accept that his need is greater than mine but I’m still entitled to be narked about it!
Dinner tonight: roast lamb, roasties, (forgot the Yorkshire pudding…NOOO! ) smashed roots, “creamed” leeks (milk, not cream, I’m not living THAT dangerously!) peas and gravy followed by raspberry and apple crumble and ice cream. All welcome.
I have to admit, I didn’t watch the wedding - they didn’t make that much fuss about last year’s wedding did they?! We went to the farm shop café for lunch and had the place to ourselves.
I’ve spent most of the weekend in the garden; either on the CBA bench or weeding the front borders - nearly filled the garden waste wheelie bin!
Yes, the words *hire*and *car* are known to me . But this is what I call family, we rally round, if one of us has a problem, we all come together to sort it out. Son’s car breaks, I lend my car to Son, Daughter gives me lifts, no one has a dire emergency, we all experience a little inconvenience until the problem is sorted. That’s family. :smileyhappy: And I can still be narked about it because we’re all put out for a few days!
Thank you so much for dinner JCJ, it was delicious and I ate far too much.
Yey!! For Katy’s ED’s job. Whoopee! Remind me, is it a job in a school? I hope the bloods bring back even more reason to celebrate! All digits crossed.
Beautiful weather here too, though I bet it won’t last into next week when I don’t have to work!
Oooops, sorry JCJ, I didn’t mean it like that, just that we are all far to tight to pay for a hire car when we can get by with a little inconvenience
Woo hoo for your ED’s job, well done to her and I now have everything crossed for the blood test results.
Lovely weather today, hung out the washing. Almost dry when I went to school, while at school the skies got darker and darker…thunderstorm…torrential rain for about 5 minutes. Skies cleared and sunshine back. When I got home the washing was sodden. Aargh, start again.
Don’t worry FF, I wasn’t really offended. I suggested those 2 words because I thought you were unable to get to work without your car - didn’t realise D was coming to the rescue. When my YD hired a car to come here it only cost her £35 for the whole weekend - far, far cheaper than the rail fare - and I thought it would be a better option for you than losing pay! However, she lives in a city, with an airport, so I suppose there’s more competition between car hire places than there would be where you are.
We had thunder threatened for this afternoon but it never happened. Just a few fluffy clouds.
More good news for ED she has passed (not official yet but will be) whole course with an A, hurrah!!!
So pleased, as she has worked so hard this last year an achievement indeed:smileyhappy:!
She will be in nursery schools (new job) as she is unable to apply for job, children with special needs without her certificate at the moment, but her foot will be in the door as they say.
She is superly happy.
Fingers crossed blood tests will also be reasonable, hoping by the end of this week, beginning of next week for results.
Am on the “CBA” bench, have not even organised tea yet, it’ll be bedtime soon haha xx
