Oh I AM pleased Lesley! Great results, especially as you’ve had such a rotten time with this chemo…so good to know it’s done it’s job. Welcome to the club. It’s cabaret tonight and we always have a Friday night disco.
x
Thanks everyone
Cabaret sounds good Belinda, but I don’t think I have the energy for the disco - will sit around the edge like a wallflower and watch the rest of you boogieing ![]()
I’m really pleased and now just can’t wait to finish the last two Tax treatments, roll on 12th Jan
xx
Brilliant! Glad you’re a stable mable - have a great Christmas! xx
Thanks Julie, here’s hoping we can all be long-term members.
Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and New Year
Xx
Great news Lesley.
I’m thrilled for you and all the othe Stable Mabels!

Hi Lesley, what great news, so glad you’re in the club so to speak
What perfect timing as well, just before Christmas, something extra special to celebrate.
Happy Christmas to all the Stable Mabels and everyone else, especially with secondaries, who may not be doing quite so well at the moment.
Wow that Belinda throws some shapes on the dance floor doesn’t she LOL

Oh Nicky!
I have noticed no-one does ‘tiger feet’ quite like me…x
I think you should post a video Belinda :))
xx
Hi Lesley…I really don’t think I should. ![]()
Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas…and a peaceful and stable new year…x
Aw, come on Belinda, don’t be a spoil sport
I’m sure you’ll look great in your crepe (yes, that’s crepe) shoes and your thumbs tucked into your satin drainpipes, just ditch the sideburns though LOL
Have a fab Christmas one and all.

Hi there
I too got good news this week. MRI and ct scans indicated no further spread!!! Whey hey I did overdo the champers though ![]()
![]()
Well done Magda. Enjoy some more champagne to celebrate. Val
Well done Magda, great news, it’s such a good feeling! The champers won’t do you any long-term harm unless you’re on a bottle or two a day I suppose ![]()
Had my chemo this morning and my markers haven’t dropped very much this cycle, got a bit perturbed but nurse reassured me that they were still heading in the right direction and to look at the whole picture rather than just the markers - I am a bit fixated on them I have to confess
Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas - and to those who are finding things tough at the moment, hope you can be pain-free with hopefully better news to come in the New Year
Love to all
Lesley xx
Thanks Lesleyand scottishlass
I can’t afford champers too often but must admit I like it ![]()
How is this chemo going for you Lesley?
Do you find it easier knowing what to expect or is that too much to hope for?
My consultant was relatively dismissive when. Asked about markers so I don’t worry on that front.
Have a lovely Xmas
x
Magda, I have to say I am finding this chemo pretty tough compared to EC which I had first time round, fatigue is unbelievable, joint pains, mouth ulcers, you name it. I feel a bit better now I know it’s working though although am steeling myself for next week which is the hard week. I know a lot of oncs don’t bother with markers at all so shouldn’t really worry!
I love champers but can’t often afford it either, still it is Christmas
and has to be done whenever the chance arises
Xx
Hi Magda and welcome to the club - boy, is it getting busy in here
What great news, it means you can celebrate even more over Christmas - that’s if your head can stand it. Champagne, now that’s my sort of drink - but only to celebrate.
Take care all
Nicky xx
Great news Magda…another Mabelette for the club…best wishes…x
Lesley and Magda what fabulous news for Xmas.
Lesley re TM’s. My TM’s dropped like a stone following the first 3 chemo sessions (219 to 68). They then slowed down but continued to drop throughout the remainder of my chemo and dropped a bit more in the six months post chemo. I remember the onc telling that I done really well, however at the time I did not pay too much attention to his comments as I thought he was just trying to cheer me up. They have remained stable 14/15 for 2.5 years now.
No champers in this household either we will be having Cava instead as I can’t tell the difference.
Happy Christmas everyone.
I actually prefer other fizzy wines rather than Champagne. There are lots of them on the market and the only reason they cannot be called champagne is because they are not allowed to call it champagne unless it comes from that certain part of France. But if someone else has brought some I don’t mind sharing! Love V
Thanks Alex - mine were 1700 at their highest and are now 798. It sounds really high to me still but my onc says it’s the amount of the drop that matters, not the actual number - but I was always used to them being between 20 and 25 before I had liver mets. Anyway, they may take another drop over the next two cycles and then when I’m on Letrozole. Mustn’t panic, the medics are all pleased with me!
Val, I know what you mean about champagne - I actually can’t really remember any weddings I have ever been to because the champagne hits me so hard, lol!!
Hope everyone’s having a good evening - best day of the year tomorrow in my opinion, have always loved Christmas Eve the most ![]()
