Yay - another Stable Mabel :-)

I looked back at some of my markers and I saw one marker at 1424 and a different marker at 135.4. What is important with the markers for me is, that when having chemo I get an indication if the chemo is working and after my first Capcitabine the larger one halved which prompted me to continue. However there are many reasons why markers can be raised so my Consultant and her team no longer look at them. ( I am not on chemo right now).
Hope this is of some use to someone! Keep well. Val

Been for my routine 3 month check today and am still stable, with next appt being another 3 months away. Saw a registrar this time and she kept asking me if I had any queries or needed any info from her and seemed ‘disappointed’ that I didn’t!!

Am now looking forward to having my 2nd mx within the next month or so to balance me up. Then I can plan things like hols again.

Hope the rest of you are still stable Mabels.

Me too!!

Had long day, at hospital from 3.45 till 7.15 and not home till 9.30!
BUT scans showing no change,bloods/markers ok and Onc moving me to 6 monthly from 3 monthly scans.

Having MRI just to check nothing been missed as have been having more pain, but am quite confident as all else seems ok.

Hope we’ll hear from some more stable Mabels xx

Great results for both of you Liz and Julie.
You must be delighted especially you Julie having transferred to six monthly checks!
Great stuff!
Hope you both have a good night’s sleep and enjoy your rewards in the future…

Great news Julie and Liz
Good luck with the mx Liz. And, Julie, moving to 6 monthly appts can be a bit scary at 1st but it is so much nicer than going 3 monthly
It’s getting nice and busy on here which is fab news and hopefully helps any newbies. Long may it continue for all of us.

Great news Julie and Liz

Not sure what boat I’m in at the moment but feeling fine so hoping that means stable and no progression!

I went to see my Onc for my 1st check-up since finished rads, I asked about having a CT scan to see how things(Lung Mets) are doing, She said I don’t need one until 12 months after Mx because as far as she is concerned the treatment was a total success and the 1 met that was left was so small its as good as not there ! I asked does that mean NED ? she answers yes , WooHoo !! so for now I am joining the stablemable gang if I’m allowed

Good to read old and new member’s news!
Another stable checking in. My latest CT shows no new bone progression and healing bone mets. I also have, probably had them for a couple of years, a single met to each ovary. One met is now mostly a cyst and the other is now showing as ‘normal ovary appearance’ on the scan. Happy! Good Luck to all…x

Such lovely news to read today on a very grey day here in Kent.
So pleased for you, Belinda.
Enjoy that extra spring in your step…

Hey Belinda, what gret news  I did glimpse that you’d had good results on another thread but had forgotten to post a comment, duh.

Thank you ladies…you are very kind…xxxxx

Good to hear things still stable Belinda. Good news on the ovaries too :). At clinic on Tuesday the onc said she had looked over the last 3 mri’s done last year and all was stable. (Just bloomin frustrating that more pain areas have developed - but still I am glad to know that nothing nasty is showing up).

Hi Dawn, great news that you are also stable  However I do understand about the things they decide not to tell you about! Very frustrating although overall it doesn’t change things.
